Decisions,decisions ,decisions

Ok I'll do my best to dissuade you..In Pictures..:D..

About 30 years ago I sold a 6" Python and a 6" Diamondback ( .22 ).. It has taken me 34 more years of Kids.. College.. Mortgage.. looking and chasing to put my regret to rest.. ( and you will regret!! )

AR's are a dime a dozen.. But Python's.. like RM's and all the "Pre" model S&W's.. are getting tougher and tougher to find..

As they say.. "They Don't Make 'Em Anymore" and Colt threw away the mold ( and Machinery to do so)..
so I give to you some food for thought.. :D:D

You boys need to stay out of my bid'ness!
I'll give you $600 for it.
Still ain't heard him say no :D

He is sending it to me to hold for 2 months, remember?

I'll send it to you after the required time to think about his decision is made.

Why don't you guys take up a collection to buy him an AR so he doesn't have to sell it?

I will join the rest for saying "DO NOT SELL" you Python to buy an AR! The AR will be around for a long time and barring any new gun grabber legislation will not go up drastically in price. The Python is a great gun.

Caj, you could be disbarred for felony robbery!

Okay, call it temporary insanity.I have decided with the help of a lot of you folks that selling my Python would be pretty foolish.I will get the AR but not at the expense of selling off anything.I am just too impatient in my old age but that has passed. You all told me things I already knew but I guess I needed to hear them from someone else.I'm keepin' it.The pics from ditrina were a major influence. Thanks Sal.And thank you to all who told me I was nuts.

Whoo Hoo.. :):D:):D

Glad I and the others could help...
Now how do I set up a defense fund.. ??? I just know Caj is comin' after me:eek:;) fer gittn' in his 'bid ness:eek:

I know this is an S&W forum, but come on, sell a Colt to buy and S&W or a black rifle? Have you no prospective, no sense of honor?

You are absolutely correct.I am ashamed of myself for even thinking aboout it.Thankfully I came to my senses.

It's amazing how many "itches" have come and gone in my life... and as I look back at most of them, I ask myself, "What in the hell was I thinking?"

I'll join the masses and say "Don't sell." and I don't even like the way a Python looks. Now if you were looking for something like a 5 screw pre-29, welllll now, that's a horse of a different color!

Tacreload, I agree with many of the previous posts - DON'T DO IT!!! What a fine looking revolver. I also own a Python and admire it very much - it shoots like a dream. Do whatever you have to do, but keep the Python.

I would not sell that revolver. Believe me, I bought a new one back about 74 or 75 and let it go fairly quickly. I regretted it for many years until a couple years ago and my brother bought me one in 6" blue, in anib condition. I presently own 2 ar 15's and I would give one of them away b/4 I would sell my Python. I ain't in the habit of giving guns away, either !!! Keep that Colt.
