Is there one? I am looking into purchasing my first 500 and have seen lots of good pics but not all in one place. Can you guys post em here?

All pics and no "discussion" would make this thread a great visual reference.

Time to showcase your hand-cannons boys.:D

Thank you.

These pictures of a 500 6.5 have had a lot of exposure lately but I'll add them here because there aren't as many of this barrel length 500 around yet.

We do need a thread with all the factory variations as well as pictures of the John Ross custom 500 guns...

If ya got 'um let's see 'um....:D

Thank you, Terry. Way to start it off on the right foot with your amazing photos!

Ohiococonut, you up yet??

I sure am

The .460 is just along for the ride.
This 10-1/2" model is only one of two that "I" know of
The 8-3/8" was my first one from 2003
The 7/1'2" is one of 2000
The 6-1/2" is one of 500
and the little snubby is just a beast!
One of these days I may just pick up the John Ross and 4" model. For now these pretty much provide all the fun and excitement I need.

Here's a 4"......my picture quality is lacking compared to the others here, but the 4" model deserves representation. :)

First time results with a stock four-incher. I fired five, labeled the target, then later in the session hung it again and fired five more. The distance was more like 15 yards, not the 50 feet I first put down. I was shooting soft to moderate loads.

I was surprised at how small the holes seemed, but there is a lot of radial tearing and paper relaxation. Those really are half-inch holes.

I haven't shot this gun as much as I'd like to because I spend so much time messing around with prewar I, K and N frames. But after I get my reloading station set up I imagine I will be doing more with the big guy.

Here's another picture for scale.... Bendutro - Maybe you could do a short write-up on your John Ross 500. I see yours is the "blue" option... very cool gun that many people aren't aware of yet!!

ohiococonut - what an Impressive display!! It would be interesting to see some examples of factory, cast and hand-loading bullet examples for the 500, too, without going into any reload detail.

Heck.... May as well include other aftermarket items specific to the 500, too. Custom holsters, speed loaders .... any pictures of items of interest for the 500 that could make this thread a "one stop shop" for those interested in the gun....

I see all these fabulous guns posted on this thread and I want to shoot them all!!:)

Impressive!

So you wanna see some ammo........

This picture is a few years old but it contains most of what I've reloaded for my 500's. All of the bullets are different and the weights range from 223gr to 700gr. A couple were not designed for the 500 because they lacked the cannelure which prompted me to make a cannelure tool.

harley46580, the orange case is a Pelican case I got from work. It had some type of instrument in it that was never going to be put back in it so.......
The 1/2" pluck foam made it an ideal case for the ammo, which incidentally is 700gr. 50 rounds of that ammo does have some weight and the case worked perfectly and keeps it safe for transporting.

Here's Mine

I tried this yesterday but I obviously did something wrong with the attachment. My 500 is just a "plain Jane" but its my first 500. I just got it yesterday and, although I haven't been able to fire it yet, I'm thilled to death with it :D !
