I picked mine up yesterday. I borrowed the '60 Pro' grips from my 5" 63 and put them on my new 632. Here it is with the 3" 63 and 60 Pro, all with the '60 Pro' grips.
The trigger, in DA, is great - about as good as the 60 Pro - and it's already got quite a few rounds through it and the springs were changed. The 632 is new - and stock - and will get better. Of course, SA shooting will be difficult...
Range report. I am watching the Intellicast radar - and the flood here. If it quits for a while, I will try to get to the local club range - if the mire permits egress. As dark as it is, those night sights may be handy! Otherwise, I'll get an early start in the AM - I hope - and trek to the other range across town. I have 600+ 96gr LRNFP .32 S&WL homebrews - probably anemic as everything. I am anxious to see where they hit...

Yesterday's range trip proved the folly of shooting ammo that made 605 +/-11 fps from a 4" SP101 some five plus years ago in the 632 Pro. I had to aim 4" high - at 12yd - to even hit the ~5" steel plates - which barely moved. Still, as I have not been able to find .327 Magnum ammo in stock locally, it'll have to do until my ordered 85gr Fed .327M's, both the SP and JHP, arrive next week.
A call to S&W CS revealed that the trigger pull in DAO revolvers, like my 632 Pro, must be 10+ lb - their edict - assumed to be for 'safety'. Also, the sights were regulated for .327 Magnums, no weight given, at 7 yd. As it is equipped, the front Tritium Night Sight is .239" tall, while the rear sight is .236" tall. Their respective bases appear to be at the same height above the bore axis - this means the revolver's bore axis is aimed below the sight's line line of sight. Translated to 12yd, assuming no muzzle rise during recoil, that would translate to <.5" low, if the sight bases are at the same level. Obviously, that doesn't account for the 3-4 inch drop I found.
I will shoot from sandbags at paper - at 7 yd - and re-evaluate. Oops - call back from S&W - they want the gun back - with my results - pre-paid FEDEX label in-bound. More later.

632-2 Barrel Alignment
I had special ordered a 632-2 from my dealer last week, and it came in yesterday. I went in to pick it up today and was pretty excited. After a quick inspection, I found that the barrel was canted to left of the receiver; the front night sight as a result leans to the left. This is the second occurrence that I am aware of with this problem as noted in this thread. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I would have thought that the S&W QC would have caught this before shipping it from the factory; this shouldn't happen with a $700.00 gun.
I currently own 11 S&W revolvers and many before these, but I have never had a problem like this. Is this a new trend with S&W?
I have a very customer friendly dealer who ordered a replacement for me and is returning the other one. Unfortunately, I will have to wait another week to receive my 632-2.

Tired of waiting for the 632 Pro, I bought a Taurus .327 mag. in June and I enjoy shooting it.
Last week I saw the 632 was finally available and I ordered one from CheaperThanDirt immediately.
I picked it up today and the barrel is canted to the left. $689 spent
after waiting well over a year and now it has to be returned for S&W to get it right.

I got to wonder if getting the barrel not straight is over torquing or under?? Heck I got a big pipe wrench, won't that fix this problem. I would be pretty ticked off too that the store would try to sell the bad one instead of sending it back themselves!!

Yeah, first the price issue then the canted barrel. After thinking about this some more I believe they checked the few they got in and decided to "stick me with the bad one" because I had money down on one, so, in their minds, it was already a done deal........
So far, here in the forums, we've heard of three 632-2's with the canted barrel issue, which makes you wonder just what kind of "job instructions" the S&W employees are working under.
Heck, it's not like the customer isn't going to notice that their front sight is crooked / canted. The front sight is one of the things that tends to get looked at the most, at least when the gun is in use, and when you factor in that it plays a role in how the gun performs it should be one of those things that needs to be just right.

I got notification from Gallery of Guns that 5 are in stock. The instant quotes are way higher than the price mentioned above. I realize the texas tax plus handling adds to the price delivered but the retail price is up there!! Seems that Buds has the better deal plus no tax!!

Won't be able to shoot it for a while, but feel and dry fire is worth noting. Trigger pull is smooth and positive at release. The grips surprised me and are secure with three fingers. Easy to conceal and light weight enough for EDC, even in Florida.Great sights. Nice work S&W!

Has anyone shot their new 2" 632-2 at paper?
At 7yd, mine was 3+ inches low - with 85gr Fed JHP and 85gr SP alike in .327 Magnum. It was ~2.5" low with my wimpy 96gr LRNFP loads in .32 S&WL - probably 600fps. They all seem to have the same short front and rear Night Sights - the rear needs ~.050 inches more height to correct for this - the front is about as low as practical. I will try not setting the 6 o'clock position of the bullseye at level dots, but raise the center dot to half a diameter (~.102 inch) above the rear dots and try again - maybe today.
I didn't expect a target gun - but 3+ inches low at 7 yd is pretty poor. S&W did e-mail me a return label... I think I'll wait a bit. Fun shooter - aggravating accuracy.

My 632-2 is right on with 115 grain Gold Dots and just a little low with Federal 100 grain soft points at 25 feet. I wonder what bullet S&W used to check out these guns?

A few more Comps - 632-2 vs. 637CT
I bought the 632-2 for its size and fire power versatility offering 5 choices in .32/.327 ammunition and a variety of bullet choices, as well. I suspect each will shoot all over the target, but I am glad the Gold Dot looks good at close quarters. I would suspect the Hydra-Shok should do well. I can't get to the range for a a few weeks, but I plan to shoot them all including, .32ACP varieties.
