This forum really sucks! I joined up a few months ago because I was interested in buying a new 625. Well, I got the gun. But now the problem is I'm addicted to Smith & Wessons!
When I started on this forum, I had an old 586 (my first hand gun) and an old 1917 that had been used in the postal service in the 30's then sent in and nickeled by Smith in 1946 and then saw duty in a New York City policemans holster.
Because of this forum, I then purchased a PC 625. But that wasnt enough, I then found an old 32 Hand ejector that I just had to have. But that still wasnt enought was it I then had to trade of my Taurus 650 and get a 38 Bodyguard.
Well surely that was it wasnt it? I mean this all happened in about 2 months. NO! Then, because now I'm a revolver man, now I of course have to have a 617. So now I'm a proud owner of yet another Smith.
It gets worse, I have always been a 1911 guy, now I'm even thinking about getting rid of a 1911 to get yet another Smith, like a 627.
Please help me and make it stop!

Don't feel bad. I joined this Forum 6-2010 and have so far purchased 23 Smiths and own 34 now. Hard to keep up with all this. Big Larry:):):):):)

I feel your pain. I have become much more interested in revolvers as a consequence of looking at this forum. On the other hand, I also am a member of a 1911 forum, so I don't see myself selling off one of my JMB designs to get a wheelgun. If I were to consider it, they would surely talk me out of it over there. Although, I have been known to be wrong...... from time to time.

You also need .22's! and don't forget top breaks oh and tip up's

Don't worry however, while there is no cure, the disease is not fatal!

You got a lot of nerve blaming us for your addiction. :D We got problems of our own you know. :D

Meetings are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00PM. :D

I believe you should get a nice M19, snubbie in blue and nickle, then a M66 snubbie in stainless, then a nice M57, 4", nickel, then you have to have a M27-2 in 4,6 and 8 3/8ths inch versions, blue and nickel, then......................IT NEVER ENDS!

Welcome, brother. There is no 12 step program and it never ends, but after a while you realize the inevitiblity of fate and start to sorta enjoy it.

Just wait till you start wanting low production guns (300 made or less) and what you'll do when one comes up for sale. Everything is on the table to be sold because you'll not have another chance to buy that dream smith.
Also, picking up brass is for suckers.

No 44 magnums yet. I am more of a 357/ 45 kind of guy. Its been a lot of fun so far and the best part is, is that I am starting to turn my shooting buddy into a Smith revolver man too. So now all I have to do is sink the hook and we can spend all of our hard earned money together on Smiths.

Don't look at a really nice early (or even pre model) model 27, don't look at the incredible bluing, the checkered topstrap and especially dont try the trigger.

I told you not too.....
