I picked up some 45. ACP thinking it was 45. AUTO. will it still work in a 45. AUTO?

Wait till you go to buy 9mm . You have 9mm, 9mm Parabellum, 9mm Luger, 9x19 . Probably a few more I missed.
i know my 9mm's pretty well. Except for the 9mm nato... thats the first i have ever heard of that.

With the 9mm it can get really confusing, not only do you have some many descriptions for the 9x19, you also have the 9mm Largo, 9mm Kurz, 9x21, and probably a host of others that I can't remember that will NOT fit a 9mm Parabellum.

9mm NATO (124gr FMJ bullet @ 1250fps) is identical dimensionally to 9x19 , 9mm Luger , 9mm Parabellum , except it is loaded to somewhat higher pressure (27,000psi) than US/SAAMI standard. It's more like +P. No problems in modern pistols.

9MM Corto, 9MM Federal, 9MM Magnum, 9MM Steyr, 9MM Bergman, 9MM Browning Long, 9x17, 9x18 Ultra, 9x18 Police, 9x18 Makarovm, 9x23 Winchester and probably some I am forgetting
