I am in the process of painting my black stock quad rail, along with other pieces, in FDE. I was wondering where I could get a spare quad rail in black. I am known to change color of my "toys" often and want to pick up a spare.

I did a search on Google and here. I only found replacements for regular AR's. Would those work?

Thanks for the help everyone.

Yes and no.

The quad rail on the 15-22 is proprietary and mounts to the rifle differently than on a standard AR15. Normally, AR15 handguards and quad rails will not work.

However, Tacticool22 (a member here) sells this which will allow you to add any AR15 free floating handguard to your 15-22. You will also need a barrel nut wrench and some barrel vice grips to disassemble your 15-22 and reassemble with the new stuff.

Thanks. I will be looking into the adapter. I also emailed Smith and Wesson and they sell the stock quad rail for "around" 25.00 plus shipping.

Thats good news. S&W is generally good about customer service, but for some reason they are hit or miss about selling you spare parts for the 15-22. They will replace it no problem, but getting them to send you parts only works sometimes depending on who you talk to.

Wow, that was a quick response! Thanks for the info. I think that I am going to call them tomorrow and see what happens. If the first person that I talk to can't help, I will do what I do to Verizon, call back until someone does.
