What a idiot. Words can't describe the disgust I have for these people.

I feel ill. The sound you hear is that moron's father spinning in his grave.

I have my grandfather's officer's saber, the Mauser he brought back from WWI, and my mom has dad's wings from flying B-25s, B-17s, and B-29s in WWII. I would never think to dishonor my ancestor's memories by damaging or destroying family heirlooms.

ECS

If I wrote what I think I'd be perma-banned. I could answer his "moral" question but I don't think he's a member. (at least not a member here.)

That isn't proper blacksmithing, just showing off for a camera. And, what kind of IDIOT wears SHORT PANTS while striking red hot metal with a hammer? Sparks hurt!

Maybe when he's by himself the "artist" works the metal in a proper (safe) fashion, but this video is just propaganda. Of course, it is from a San Francisco media outlet. Consider the source, and the agenda behind it.

My father didn't bring home any WWII memorabilia, but you can be damn sure if he had I'd be treating it with respect; not destroying it while trying to see how many views I could get on a social media site

I would expect no less from the Good Citizens of the Bay Area.

Rule 303

I can't comment - my remarks would be inappropriate and soon removed - but I agree with 303.

I have nothing but contempt for the idiot who destroyed a piece of family history, which probably saved his grandfather's life in combat, without which, he wouldn't be here to do his dastardly deed. As to the "artist," I wonder how he gets away with taking guns onto school grounds, whether or not his intent is to melt them (note California and Federal laws regarding guns on school grounds). He, and the school administrators who allow that, should be arrested, in conformance with their "no tolerance" policies (note the comments in the film that he does this at schools).

I bet his dad would have some very unkind things to say to his idiot son.

As for the "artist"......spare me!

All of the above plus, he calls that "Art"?? Eight years to make that ugly piece of junk?

Guess he takes it for granted he lives in a Country where is able to practice his "gift"
