I have a friend who is selling his 15-22 with a spare 25 rd mag. It has never been fired. The price is 300 dollars but I already own a 15-22. What say you? It would be a cheap way to an sbr I guess.

Depends. Is it identical to the one you have? I passed on a buddies at 300, don't know what he sold it for, but i was holding out for 250, although I never offered. He's notorious for buying high and selling low.

300 is a great buy IMO

Buy NOW. That is as sweet as a deal as you will ever find and even if you don't want to keep you can sell it for a profit later.

I dont see too much of a profit. New they are 450. I guess I could make a quick 50 if I need to. Maybe get it for a gift for my nephew later.

How so? That's what they sell for new or within 20 bucks of it, in most places.

Go take a look at what beat up used glocks sell for (used Gen 3's with thousands of rounds through them will sell for $450 and up when a new one costs $500), guns hold their value very very well and this thing hasn't even been fired.

And $420 is not the average price of these things, I'd say most sell for around $470. I would be willing to bet if he put it on a popular local gun forum that thing would sell by end of day for $400

Apparently our parts of the world vary in price.

sounds like it, most of my witnessing is from online prices...which are generally better then most local store prices.

GunBroker.com is pretty good on estimated prices....

Our local carolina gun forum would unload that 15-22 in a heartbeat at $400

The biggest gun store in Connecticut sells the basic model for $399.95 virtually every day of the week. The sell the 15 Sport (.223/5.56) for $599.95.
