I liked SA's thinking with one caveat. The are about to ship the XDs. A single stack compact 45 that is only .9 inches thick. Not much in the "looker" dept. but I saw Rob Leatham talking about it. Their engineers originally designed the gun to be a new small 9mm and they discovered that there was enough support to go bigger bore. They scrapped the 9mm and put out the 45. 17 ounces. smaller than the glock compact 45. My caveat, 5+1. I really wish they had added a mere portion of an inch to the length of the grip to get that round count up to 6 or 7+1. I think that thing is going to sell like hotcakes however. xdspistol.com
