This year at the S&WCA Annual Meeting in Boise we had the pleasure of having Elmer Keith's son Ted Keith as an honored guest speaker. He spoke eloquently about his father, and we were thrilled to hear him speak. Mr. Keith was given honorary membership in the S&WCA. Mr. Keith donated his personally owned "Elmer Keith Commemorative" Model 29 to the organization to be used in a raffle. The gun is mint in it's original (serial numbered) shipping container, with display case along with a copy of the original factory flyer and a letter from Mr. Keith. Mr. Roy Jinks (S&W Factory Historian) also provided a Factory Historical Letter and original flyer to go with the package.

For the first time in 30 years, I won a raffle. I was thrilled when they drew my raffle ticket and honored to own such a special gun with amazing provenance.

Congratulations! I didn't know if Ted was still alive. I have a signed copy of Sixguns from 1963.

Oh my gosh, that is the holy grail! I am so envious. I have read so many magazine articles by Elmer Keith. Congratulations to you.

The older I get, the more I realize that every rule has an exception.

Rule- I don't like commemorative guns.

Exception- right here.

That is very cool. The fact that it was owned by Ted Keith makes it priceless. You need to buy a lotto ticket now!

It's always great to see a genuine collectible go to someone who will truly treasure it and appreciate it for what it is, rather than sock it away and dream about cashing out at some point in the future.

I remember that G&A cover also --- seems like yesterday.

Beautiful revolver --- Good for you!

Thank you and now I need a copy of the June 1986 Guns and Ammo...anyone have one they want to sell? How cool is it that the G&A magazine was on the newsstand when this gun was delivered to the Keith Home?
