Holster for 642?

Only issue is the mouth is not supported and it is difficult to reholster.

As most holster makers will tell you, if you ever use it in real life situation, you won't be reholstering for a good long time...
Practice drawing, so what if it takes two hands to reholster.

Thanks Ltlbear,
I think I'll get one. Sometimes I need to holster and unholster, and that looks like a comfortable option.

I agree. Reholstering is an issue for LEOs who have to cuff a suspect. It is not an issue for civilians, only a convenience.

I use a Triple K that I picked up at a gun show. Well made, comfortable and easy on and off. I don't remember what I paid for it but it wasn't a lot.

No argument here. Just pointing it out. I love the holster even with this minor issue. With a j frame, it can drop in a pocket if you need to get it back out of sight in a hurry anyway.

Alessi Deep Cover -- designed specifically and only for J frame snubbies.

Outstanding IWB holster; so-so customer service. Your mileage may vary, but it's worth a search (I've posted my full thoughts/frustration elsewhere on this forum).

Nonetheless, the holster itself is a functional work of art.

My current EDC gun is a Ruger LC9 which I carry in a IWB Theis holster, but recently I picked up a sweet S&W 642. I'm looking for a holster for this one, and would really like a IWB, but if there are better options, I would like to hear them. This little sweetie also hides very well in my front pocket.

What are you guys using?

Thanks
Depending on the weather I'll either pocket carry or carry owb. I tried iwb but just couldn't get comfortable with it.
I personally prefer owb.
Can't recommend a brand, I make my own.

There are two types of IWB holsters that I like a lot. I've bought multiples of both for
my revolver and pistols. They are not expensive, and work very well.

First, the Remora no-clip holster. These things work as advertised. The company
gives quick reliable service too, with great customer service.

Remora Series 8-CH Holster (Pocket / IWB)

Another holster I have bought a few of for various handguns is the High Noon
Bare Asset holster. Not expensive. Quick reliable service. These holsters hold up
nicely and work really well. They use a reverse j-hook clip that doesn't snag on things.

Bare Asset

If I may need to take the holster off, I used the High Noon holster. If I know
that I'll have no need to remove it, I use the Remora. The Remora sticks nicely
wherever you put it, and you will most likely have to unfasten your pants to put it on,
or take it off. Remora is comfortable too, and no clip at all, so you can place it anywhere,
at any cant you like.

Hope this helps.

High Noon Public Secret Holster for 642?

USCCA had a review recommending the High Noon Public Secret Holster. Anyone use that with their 642?

I carry A-IWB & like a very minimalist (aka flimsy) holster. This Ace Case is made of some sort of light glove leather & is very comfortable, and inexpensive to boot.
