Its amazing that these modern grips fit this gun like a glove. Looks ridiculous but feels great :)

Actually it doesnt look all that bad. When you said tactical i was expecting lasers and rails.

Personally i like rubber grips. The have a great hold when shooting and the gun doesn't move around. A lot more solid grip

That is kind of unexpected..!

Actually, once the initial shock wears off a little, it DOES look good!

And I bet is it comfortable too.

Now, to put those old Black Hard Rubber Stocks, on your brand new S&W Round-Butt j Frame! See how that rolls...

The barrel was cut down at some point, wasn't it?

Yeah. Someone cut it down. I bought it as a bag of parts and had Dave Chicoine put it all back together for me. I'm not leaving those grips on it. I just thought it was interesting that they fit perfectly.

The more I look at it the more I think that S&W should make a modern revolver that looks like the 1896. It's so much cooler looking than what they offer now.

I like it. Maybe I ought to cut down my adjustable sighted 1899....VBG

Before you follow through with the bobbed hammer idea, I just bought one that has a bobbed hammer and I'll trade. I imagine you will leave it as it is but I hate to see you cut one when I'm looking for an uncut one. Dave's shop is just down the highway and I'm going to ask if he has one. Cool gun though.

Twaits,
Everytime I see that it's just the coolest little snubby!!

Ok you made your point now get those goodyears off and some S&W pearls back on! (smile).

I think it looks great with those bantam grips!
That rear sight location does wonders for the sight radius, doesn't it? What was the original barrel length? I guess this was meant to be a point-and-shoot model.
What caliber is this revolver chambered for?

I really wonder when someone converted this to a belly gun? If only this gun could talk...well, of course, if it could talk, it'd probably just say, "Bang! Kapow!" or like that. Probably wouldn't be capable of intelligent discourse.
