As of a day or two ago most MP15 Sports were pulled from current gunbroker auctions and many were relisted. Now they are selling for upwards of $1300! For the Sport!

this is absolutely crazy...I was in my local Wally World yesterday afternoon an an elderly gentleman came up to the Sporting Goods Counter with a female WalMart employee. He looked through the rotating gun racks and liked the Rossi Circuit Judge Rifles .410/45lc revolver style rifles. He asked how many they had in stock and they told him 5....he bought every one of them.... and was in a hurry to do it. I would consider that panic buying!!! Although I would love to have one of those rifles myself.... :D

Maybe I am crazy but even at 1500 I wouldn't sell my sport. Its my first rifle that I have gotten my self. It shoots great has a wonderful feeling trigger and seems to eat steel cased ammo with out a problem.

That's not the only items going up. I was cruising a couple of my favorite forums where I usually find good deals on extra goodies for my AR. Today however, that wasn't the case. 30 round magazines that yesterday sold for $12-15 are now being offered for $30-35!

Since nObama announced the gun ban this morning, everything is going to jump sky high. Glad I got my shopping done several months ago. ;)

I hit a couple of my favorite web sites today, looking for various things.... "Out of Stock" was on everything I looked at.

High prices for ARs and mags: I think it is called capitalism, and/or the law of supply and demand. If an object or thing becomes highly sought after, and at the same time the supply is decreased, than the price will go up. We learned that in HS basic economics class. That was back in the day, when basic economics was taught in HS.

Any reason to think the Circuit Judge would be on the bad list? I don't think of it as an assault rifle. Or is your point that the guy is just freaking out for no real reason?

To everyone considering buying multiple guns, Atf requires gun shops to report on a special form multiple sales to the same person! They sometimes send someone to your address to find out why you purchased multiple weapons. buy one put a deposit on the other and wait a week. I worked at a LGS and try to talk people out of multiple sales in a 3 day period, not because of the extra paperwork but because it raises another flag during backround checks and even if you have a CCW multiple sales must still be reported.

I called virtually every shop from Tampa to Port Charlotte looking for a sport. No one has anything. If anyone has any leads feel free to pm me. It's gotten crazy out there!

Originally, the stores I went to this past Summer while pricing the Sport, stores looked Armorys. No prob picking one up and I paid $550. They are going for $1200-1400 here in the KC metro and that's if you can find one. People are paying what the market price is. I was picking up some ammo and noticed that the rack that held the 30-round clips was as empty as Pier Morgan's head.

As best I can tell, Budsgunshop.com does not have a single AR (of any brand) in stock. This is crazy.

If ANY dealer starts this gouging BS do not or ever buy anything from them again! Make them aware of it too.

OTOH, maybe that is the price they have to pay their supplier, so their question becomes: do we say "no" and have nothing for our customers, or do we go ahead and pay the higher price?
