M&P15-22 Mag development

Well Sir, You will soon witness History. Then everyone will copy my design and claim they did it first.

I am so looking forward to this. May I suggest the next round to adapt this to should be the 12ga, specifically for the Saiga 12 shotgun.

Love to Order 3

Price? and email address i need to send my info too?

Extremely interested in purchasing a few of these and looking forward to seeing the prototype in use!

Count me in for a couple of the new mags, provided the pending video shows they work as well or better as a standard S&W 25 round mag.

The FN5.7 is not a rimmed case so that is not a good analogy. Neither is the 10/22. You can create mag column that contains double stacked rimmed cases but you can't feed them without doing something like Ruger did and create a rotary magazine loader at the top. As far as I can remember there has never been a successful working double stacked rimmed case magazine in the history of firearms. The rim is the problem. S&W staggered the rim side of the case which is about the shortest you can make the mag. But even that requires the mag to curve.

Both examples I posted are rimmed, double stacked mags. That particular 10/22 mag is a double stacked. Both work well. It is possible to have a staggered straight mag without a curve. Look at the HK -270 20 rd mags, Practical Solutions 20/30/40rd mags and the 40 rd. Lage/Black Dog Machine mags.

Is that bottom pictured mag even a double stack? Looks single to me. Is there a difference in straight single stack and straight double stack capabilities? Just because it works in a single stack, does it mean it'll work in double?

633 posts and my eyes are killing me. I have watched this thread for weeks it seems. I can't read this whole beast, it would take hours!

I'll just trust they are good. It's only money.

{This is a bad first post to have to make so please realize that I know this. LOL}

Hey guys. Long time lurker. First time poster.

I've searched through the entire thread only to realize that I want a couple of these but I can't put my arms around exactly what "these" is.

It seems to be a double-stack clip with 50-odd round capacity that's apparently very easy to load, but I can't tell for sure.

Can we get a quick all-inclusive bullet-point update to exactly what "it" is? I think it would be nice to have a single post to point people to for future reference.

Thanks!

The images I posted originally proved that fact that double stacked, single feed, rimmed 22 ammo box magazines do exist and work well.

The second set of images I posted proved that single stacked, staggered .22 LR box mags can be straight and work well.

Ok gotcha, thanks for clearing that up for me

It was just before the 2 pages of 'email sent' posts...

I will post a video soon going to purchase a Gopro this weekend since santa didnt come through for me. For all Prospective buyers please email me @ [email protected] so I know exactly how many people are planning to purchase the mag. Pre-orders will begin after the mold is complete and I have a fully functional mag. Thanks again to all of you for being patient.

Also from DT... 'price per mag is under $40'.
