I believe if the truth was known, the anti gun faction of the Congress is behind this possible executive order violation of the 2A. They have Feinstein as a mouthpiece but she will be 84 years old when her term is up so she is likely done. Obama is certainly done and has nothing to lose. Most of the Congress and probably most of the Senate would like to stay clear of this as much as possible. They know the majority is not in favor of this infringement on our rights and have some fear for their future re-election efforts. If Obama goes the executive order route, they can all mouth a little about it and put it off on him. Keep writing and calling so they know their future's are at stake.

I think an executive order would be met with multiple law suits and an
injunction or stay until it is unraveled in U.S. court, and probably the Supreme Court which in the long run could be bad, especially if Obama gets to elect another left wing liberal justice.

The message below is from a guy I know that owns a gun store,and indoor range a few miles from me,and I’ve noticed the same in Academy Sports & Gander Mountain when I was in there looking at a Savage Axis bolt action 308 .No ammo on the shelves,or Mags.of any brand.The get a truck load in of ammo and its gone by the next day.Can’t even find 22 cal. in bulk.

"FOR WHAT ITS WORTH: There's something happening here. Something we have never seen before in our gun shop. Not after 911, not after Obama's election in 08, not at anytime in 13 years. Right now people are coming into the store angry.

They are not scared and they are not worried.

They are resolute and determined.

They are cops, firemen, school teachers, politicians, and Judges! They are farmers, carpenters, builders, and laborers. They will not allow their guns to be banned, registered, or collected.

And they are purposefully buying guns, stocking up on ammo, and enrolling in firearms training classes for one reason - to resist any move that the Federal government might make against the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

People, there IS a storm brewing like nothing we witnessed in our lifetimes."
 
I think the "executive order " is popycock! Newt Gingrich was on Greta's show the other night, and said that Obama would be met with a law suit as previously mentioned, and, or the Republican side of the house and senate would stop him buy saying we can't afford it! He's powerless without the house and senate. He just can't make his own laws! The executive branch doesn't do that. And it wouldn't make it to the judicial branch either for Mrs. Ginsberg to dick with! All they have done is cause thousands if not millions of people to go out and get their LTC and purchase more guns and ammo in history! this admin is a bunch of idiots! I somewhat think they did us a favor!! Support the NRA!!!!!

This is exactly what I am finding in my area. Lately, once a week, I make a trip to 3 shops where I personally know the managers and they tell me the same thing. People from all walks of life stocking up. The people are saying they will not give up their rights. The shops have no AR's and have no idea when they will get any. The handgun cases have a lot of empty spaces, mostly semi's missing. The ones that have .223 are selling it for $20+ per box and people are buying.
 
My executive order...

1. Honor the the constitution of the United States and its amendments.

2. Revamp the mental health system and get people and families the help and support they truly need

3. Enforce the laws already on the books and add nothing else to them.

4. Stop calling AR15 and the like "Assault Weapons" to promote fear to the public.

5. Make the news media accountable for glorifying tragic events so other people with mental illness don't try to compete.

6. Develope a national education initiative to teach the general public about the constitution, 2nd amendment, gun safety, specific firearms and mental health issues.

It will be interesting to see how these law suits pan out. That is at best a difficult task and unless it gets into the "right" court, a stay will be unlikely. He has proven he has no regard for the Congress with the "Dream Act" so why do you think he would now?

Most of them are made here, I wouldn't worry unless he stopped the importation of parts kits. But yeah, buy more AK's and AR's! surely Washington sees how all of this is playing out and how many folks are buying these things up!
 
The second amendment is very clear...it is a protection against government...it was not "given to us by the Government" but written into the Constitution as a protection. "We the People are not Subjects of this Government" The government works for "US" not the other way around. Should Government try to take the second amendment or infringe on our right to bear arms...then it is up to "We The People" to safe guard our second amentment and protect our Constitution. We have the "Ability" to do that if we ever have to. "We"owe that to the future generation of Americans and as our freedom has been bought and paid for by Patroits of the past....if it ever comes to it, it is our duty to defend our rights....freedom has never been free....but it has always been worth the price many brave men have had to pay for it. Our future generation deserves no less from "US" Our freedom is only as good as our will to preserve it at any cost. The best offence has always been a strong defence.The NRA is our best mouth piece and legal platform......backed up by millions of freedom loving citizens that have the ability to enforce our freedom should anyone try to take it. We are not subjects and we are not sheep. Hopefully...our representatives will hear our voice.
 
bpeddicord, A little off topic but
I worked/helped out a few days last month at a shop I used to work at and
watched an amazing large number of folks from all age groups and genders
shopping and purchasing items. Seemed kinda different just folks where
well motivated in a different way and not in a buying frenzy type of way

Do I sound strange with this observation?

I stood in line today between a 68 yr. old retiree from the Va. Dept. of Transportation, and a 24 yr. old female elementary school teacher today. Both waiting on thier VASP background checks to come through. The 68 yr. old told me he never thought he needed a gun, but he was damned if anyone was gonna tell him he couldnt have one !! :D He was buying an M&P 9 ... lol The school teacher was glocking up herself ... funny times indeed.
 
I am a Citizen of the United States of America... of sound mind and no criminal record... I am no threat to anyone or anything save those who would do harm to my Family... my Friends... my Nation... my GOD and Myself... I am protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution to the right to bear arms and from GOD the right to defend Me and Mine from all harm... Any assault by usurping my rights through new legislation... taxation... registration of Arms or threat of force I will regard as an attack on my very life and my right to FREEDOM.
 
Rethinking his options the outcome is now on hold until Wednesday per FOX news right now.

sounds like a declaration of war. Not the kind of message you want to send to a represenatitive that is sitting on the fence waiting to decide which way he is going to swing on the matter.
