I bought a new s&w 15-22 last weekend but it was pink and the last one the gun shop had. Took it to the range and the girlfriend loved it! Loved it so much I only got to put one clip brought it.

I have lurked this last week and got a lot of great info from this forum. Thanks!

The gun shop got a new shipment in this week. I am off to get a more manly color when they open. Wish me luck.

Thanks?.

Lol. You are right. I am on my first cup of coffee. If I can find more mags, I may take the S & W to my first Appleseed next month.

Welcome from the western border of West Virginia. I would have bought a pink one for the wife but couldn't find one so I settled for a another black one. And I was glad to find one in this insanity.

And a fine welcome from a Non Ban state of Michigan.!!!

Good luck finding mags and ammo.!!!

Congrats on your new pink rifle

Paul

I like the "pink" 15-22.
The day before NewYorkistan passed the AWB I was in my local Herb Philipsons. They had 2 of the pink models on display for $479. I thought about buying one but decided I did not want to spend the money.
In hindsight I wish I'd have bought one. Even the wife agrees...especially after shooting mine...she likes it as much as her 10/22.

Thanks for the welcomes!

The pink one does look cool but I have a hard time prying it from the girlfriend!

I was the second one in line at the GA gun shop in Gainesville. They had gotten in 24 on Thursday but we had a threat of ice yesterday so I had to wait until this morning. They only had 4 on the shelf. Black base model sku 811033 for $440. I also picked up a pair of plinker tactical mags.

As punishment for waking the gf early this morning I have yard work to do. Hopefully I can take it to the range tomorrow!

Be sure to let us know how the PT mags work. For many folks, they don't.

Sure will. I did load the mags today with the included tool. The last two rounds were hard to load but it may be because the mag is new.

I went to their website and they stated that they did need to be broken in. Hopefully they will be ok

Never ran across magazines that needed to be broken in.

Yeah. I know..never had that problem with my ruger mags.

Thanks!

Just got back from the range.

Yesterday I loaded the factory mag and the two plinker tactical mags while sitting on my sofa and watching tv. I used cci blazer that I got from the gun shop when I bought the rifle. Took my time and followed the direction.

I got to the range and started with the factory mag. One failure to fire. Looked like primer did not ignite. Next the Tactical plinker mag.....all 35 rounds no failures. Cool I thought.

There was no where to sit since the range was crowded so I was loading the mag with regular cci lr while standing up. After the first 5 rounds you have to use their load assist tool that just fits in a channel to compress the spring. Next 35 rounds I had 4 Failure to feed. I realized I may have been the problem.

The next reload of the mag I took my time, loaded one round at a time, compressed the spring just enough for that one round. No failures!

I ended up putting 280 rounds through the rifle today. I had a blast.

It's not uncommon at all. It can sometimes be difficult to get all of the rounds in the first time you load a magazine. Shooting with them or loading them and leaving them that way for a little while can help get them to where they need to be.

Again, never ran into that problem with any of my mags - and I've gone through many, many of them over the years -pistol, rifle, rim fire, center fire ...

The ONLY magazines that have given me problems are the two Plinker Tacticals. Well designed, quality magazines should work the FIRST time, IMHO.

Welcome to the pink,I bought mine 3 days after I buried my Mother that died from Breast cancer. She was my biggest supporter in all my shooting sports for many many years.
I had a choice between the black and the pink when I bought it, I choose the pink to remind me of her.
The plus part of owning a pink, is that when I am at a match? The safe area is filled with blacks and everyone has to figure out which gun is theirs? I dont have that problem.
