still waiting on my backorders.

My 3 drawer fire proof filing cabinet is full of ammo cans that are full of SHTF ammo......anyone wanting to steal it would need a forklift or a crane to lift it. The cabinet itself is 'ball-busting' heavy....with the ammo it's immoveable without powered machinery. :D

Sorry no pics yet....maybe later. ;)

Now that it more like it. Although if you have a fire, things are going to get interesting...

It may make some noise like a firecracker, but without being in the chamber and having a bolt locked in place behind the cartridge, all it will do is make noise and is not a danger. It is only dangerous when the gases are forced in one direction behind the bullet to force it down the barrel. Without the barrel and bolt, pressure does not build. The brass will typically fly further than the bullet when popped off from a fire.

Storage racks in the reloading room for easy access, along with another 15 or so ammo cans filled with various reloads for a rainy day...:D

I've never been one to stockpile ammo, but I think I may have to change my ways. A quick look revealed the following...

2300+ .22lr
400 5.56mm
200 7.62x39
40 30.06
40 .243
40 .38-55 WIN
150 .40 S&W
25 9mm
8 .45 (yes, one magazine full)
200 .380 ??? WTH?

Several flats of 12 and 20 gauge

Knew I was low, but did not realize how low on some calibers

5k of 22lr, 85 of 38 special, and 460 of 556.

enough for SHTF. 22lr to hunt for food and the 556 for zombie defense.

The fruits of my ammo hoarding over the last several years. This is what I did with my chest deep freezer after it died on me.

With my luck if I had this setup, the ammo I wanted would be at the bottom. Good use though.

Mine sits in a old footlocker, Stack on 12 gun cabinet (no guns), 50 and 30 cal ammo cans in the garage cabinet and a few in the gun safe.

My on hand supply of 22LR.

I have another 2200 on back order, roughly 2000 in storage, and always on the hunt for more!

Love the use of the old freezer!

Pure genius!
