Is the backlash in NY growing exponentially

New York

When laws that are unreasonable are passed, non-compliance always rises.

So there are likely to be many folks who simply will not comply with New York's new law.

And I wonder how many rural county law enforcement agencies will help enforce it if asked or ordered to?

I suspect some officers who are not economically strapped might resign rather than enforce such an unconstitutional law.

why resign when they can just ignore it?

I would have liked to have heard what some of his answers were to the non compliance questions.

These types of law makers tend to surround themselves with yes men.
Yes men do not relay things their masters don't wish to hear.
If they hear any part of this at all, its so watered down and removed from its intensity that what they actually hear is "yeah there were a few loud mouth trouble makers" ... a far removed cry from "I think we have given cause for revolt"
as I said .. I think of you all as patriots, not the criminals the state of NY has synthesized you into.
I pray to the almighty the driver takes a hard right turn onto the road to reason. We're driving kinda fast, and that intersection may be closer than it seems.
I don't know how strong the message will need to be to get through the arrogance and isolation so that they come to know they did wrong.
I fear it may take more than just words.

Maybe Governor Cuomo should climb down from his ivory tower and do a few of these town hall lectures on new gun laws he signed. I'm sure he would be much better equipped to answer questions that the good people of NY have on their mind than the flunkies sent out to explain what he has done.

The people of NY should demand this. We know you are out there. It's time to act.

All they will do is stop having these kind of meetings.

Doesn't matter since we're going to them. ;) TWO large rallies in Albany on Feb 12 and Feb 28.

GUN RIGHTS RALLY AND LOBBY DAY All~ Here's another Rally Day in Albany! There are now 2 scheduled dates: Feb 12th and Feb 28th…Please spread the word to support the 2nd Amendment and let Cuomo know NYers are NOT sleeping as he had thought when he passed his unconstitutional laws in the dark of night!!!
Remember to check your pockets before your lock your car and leave behind anything that might be construed to be a weapon; you will be asked to dispose of pocket knives, tools, scissors, etc. as you pass through security. Be respectful with your message and your attire; wear business casual dress; no camo. A neat shirt and slacks, with or without a jacket, will send the message that you should be taken seriously.
Permits have been obtained for the West side of the Captiol. Senators Marchione and Ball, and Assemblyman Katz among others are slated to speak, in addition to Melody Burns emceeing the event. The legislature will be reviewing the bill and amending in the coming days, it is critical we bring thousands of our voices to Albany ASAP!

From what I am hearing at my gun club, LGS, and friends who have AR firearms they don't intend to comply with registering their weapon at all.
I hope our Governor has appropriated a large sum of money in his current budget proposal for more judges, courtrooms and prison space. It is going to be interesting to see how many will actually comply between now and next April and how they plan to enforce the law.

I dont see how they can enforce any of it considering so much of it infringes on the 2A. Even the 94 ban did but why it was not challenged to the point of over turning it is beyond me. Perhaps knowing it would end in 04 had something to do with it and maybe the severe back lash this time around has a lot to do with the internet and how we can all be connected around the country to know what is going on as far as 2A issues.

Hey, whaddya wanna bet the guy in the foreground passing the mic around is part of the goon squad and has a pea shooter on him just in case the citizens get out of hand...and how about there's probably more scattered throughout the crowd, too!
Just my take on it.

Stop feeding the bad wolf. Move out, stop paying taxes to them, let 'em freeze in the dark.
(thats not political, it's philosophical)

Silly comments, did Adolf Hitler sit down with Jewish folks and ask: do you mind if I take away your fortune and send you to prison camp and kill you with giftgas (poisonous gas)?
Cuomo knows exactly what he is doing, because he wants to impose his views on people and he could not care less about how other people feel! With this illegal legislation, his chance of running for presidential election is dramatically dimished, even I think he might have a good chance of becoming the democratic presidential candidate (Biden stands no chance) unless Hillary jumps in! He rushed this gabbage down the throat of New Yorkers because he wants to use this for running the democratic primary election.

Actually, Hitler DID have the support of the Jewish community when he took over the Reichstag and started passing anti Jew laws. The Jewish leaders felt that the laws were aimed at anti nationalist Jews, were reasonable, common sense laws (where have we heard that!) and that as long as everyone went along, the Nazis would help the "good German Jews" and include them in governing the country. This is an important point to keep in mind when your hunting but non shooting friends question the need for "assault" weapons and 30 round magazines.
