Stallone has just come out espousing his support of the new gun ban proposals banning military style rifles. Wow, this from a guy whose latest movie is called "A shot to the Head".
Hypocrisy at its finest! I guess I won't be seeing that or any other of his super violent movies ever again.

RUBE! ! !

He'll say anything to sell a movie, or get some free press.

He's so fearful of being irrelevent he continues to use muscle enchancing drugs and even gets busted with them.

RUBE!

I just wish Balmywood would just let "has beens" be has beens and let them fade away into the west. They just never seem to know when it's OVER!

Dang, beat me to it.:)

I mean, what a name for a movie.

Think about all the movies, TV shows and Video games that portray extreme violence, death destruction, weapons etc.

These have nothing to do with the crazy people doing crazy things???

I often wonder when actors/directors/etc. make left-leaning statements if they really believe them as much as they claim, or if they are just going along with the group-think in Hollywood because they are afraid of being black listed if they don't? Or, is it just simply group think itself in that everybody else around them says these things, without any counter-point, so they just believe them?

There is a lot of group think in Hollywood. As well as a lot of discrimination against conservatives. Much like the black lists of the 1950s, liberals will shun conservatives and not hire them because they don't think along the ideologically correct lines.

The other thing is that they are totally isolated from reality. The richest among them, often the most liberal, live in gated communities with armed guards, are driven everywhere (with armed guards), don't shop, go to the mall,or ever even speak to the people who comprise their audiences. They mostly see themselves as smarter and just better than we are.

They just don't think that we see the hypocrisy in their telling us that we shouldn't have guns while their livelihood in many cases depends on portraying guns and gratuitous violence as acceptable ways to resolve problems.

Which is why I don't go to the movies much and don't care for the current crop of directors, producers, or play actors.

I wonder if this thread will "disappear" like the other...oh well. It is funny when people like Stallone think
that because of their celebrity they should weigh in on issues
of the day. That somehow, their opinions are important because
they are a "star". And like so many have pointed out already,
these same people glorify gun violence for a living.

I used to work security in the studios for a short time almost 50 years ago. (Universal studios). I knew a handfull of "stars" there and elsewhere. They all werent like that but a few were.

All these jollywood actors made millions with guns in violent movies and now there against guns? Just like he has boxing experience too what a clown.

ISTR that he had a gun collection that included machine guns - quite a few years ago. Can anyone confirm this?
