Fox News Sunday

THAT WAS NOT AN INTERVIEW AS FAR AS REAL JOURNALISTS ARE CONCERNED; IT WAS A PLATFORM TO SPEAK FOR HIS PERSONAL AGENDAS.

KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JOURNALISM AND PROPAGANDA IS KEY HERE.

AS FAR A LAPIERRE, HE IS A BIT TIMID, NERVOUS AND UNSURE SOUNDING, AND NOT QUICK WITTED. HE MISSES GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES TO PLUG OUR CIVIL RIGHT AND LETS THE LEFTISTS BULLY HIM AROUND.

David Keene is better at this than Wayne. Doesn't the NRA have some younger fresh blood that can have some quick whit and be polished at it? We need a better effort if we are going to protect and save the second amendment!

make no mistake about it, Rupert Murdoch is pro gun control. He supported and cheered on Cuomo in his recent bullying through the NY legislature of the draconian safe act. its not surprising that the NY Post and now Fox News are parroting his views.

My wife and I relatively recently started watching Fox. They're hardly conservative in my opinion, just less liberal than the three major stations.

Wallace was in no way unbiased during LaPierre's interview. Idiotically, Wallace seemed enamored with the supposed fact that 1.7 million people had been stopped from purchasing a firearm by failing NICS checks. Perhaps true but our dysfunctional Justice Department almost never prosecutes those who fail and certainly a good percentage of those who fail are ignorant felons. An arrest warrant should be automatically issued for any felon or otherwise illegal individual attempting to purchase a gun.

Our Emperor surely doesn't want the monstrous cesspool of Chicago (Daleyville) revealed for what it is, after all, it gave him his Senate seat and then millions of fools made him President. Don

Dispicable. And they're running the astronauts misguided and incorrect statements again this morning. His "logic" is based on acceptable losses, which is a mainstay of the flawed liberal thinking. Ten dead kids is o.k. "But the eleventh(who was born on 9/11), would be alive today". If mental health is a prerequisite, the astronaut fails. Makes me sick to see a man who took the oath behave in such a manner.

Following the captains logic on the proposals, he would/should have to surrender his own guns because of his wife's mental handicap, if they live in the same home and mental health is a criteria for judgement. Correct me if I am wrong.
The astronaut will have personal bodyguards 24/7, as he and his family are elite. Please don't suggest he's got to get his hands dirty. He reminds me of Murtha.

It's a shame the NRA didn't have Newt Gingrich present our side of the debate. Mr. Gingrich had no problem putting Chris Wallace in his place on the Republican Debate Forum.
teesur.

Marx, Engels and Lenin all taught that in order to win victory over the class enemies the proletariat had to be armed, organized and disciplined, otherwise the State runs you!

There is a difference between a mental handicap and a physical handicap.

What had me steaming was Captain Kelly's open and deliberate lying. On two occasions during the interview, he invoked his status as a military man to declare that the assault weapons Congress wants to ban are designed only for killing large numbers of people quickly. He was deliberately playing to and feeding the public confusion about whether these rifles are actually machineguns. Shame on him! :(

Wayne has served us well in the past. I remember well the time the NRA was our spoksman when CCW was not an issue. The most dangerous rifle was surpluss M1 carbine. Wayne I think has a hard time earning his money in this new area when gun owership is in jepardy. It is not his fault he really never had to fight this kind of battle at this intensity before....Just get a new spokesperson....

I have notices Fox is hiring more and more liberal news casters, anchors, talking heads all the time. I think they are getting tired of fighting the entire federal government and all the rest of the mass media in this country. They have also let quite a few of their really conservative people go. It's not easy, or popular, being a conservative in todays political climate.

That's interesting; care to name who these so-called "more liberal" types are, and who they have fired?

We should write fox news and tell them that we do not agree with Jerk Wallace. Fox likes to brag about how good they are and how much that they are watched maybe if we all complain they will figure out that is people like us who helped them get where they are now.

I watched and was disappointed in how Wallace show boated and attacked Wayne. However I was equally disappointed in LaPierre's performance. I agree we need a better spokesperson and we need to laser focus on the most important issues.

No bans of any kind but we must abide by background checks that currently exist. I know in Illinois they have them but they are broken because they don't report mental illness to the State Police. We need to prevent sick people from becoming armed. And these loop hole debates are stupid. In Illinois, you have to have a FOID card, so you've already had a background check before you walk into a gun show... As much as I hate Illinois politics, the FOID may be the answer to shut up the gun grabbers.

However, I concede that only law abiding folks will be impacted. I just want to stop all bans and no registration (I had to come back and add this. I am very much opposed to weapon registration)!

Don't know who the more liberal types on Fox are, but of course, it's all on the spectrum; one man's conservative is another man's liberal, depending where on the spectrum you are.

But they did fire Sarah Palin recently (technically, non-renewal of contract, a de facto firing).

We had recorded the show on DVR. We've been pretty busy since, and finally got to watch this evening. My wife and I agreed that LaPierre did a very good job of standing up to Wallace. In my opinion, Wallace is no different than he was at CBS. He just changed enough to get a job at FOX, and now his cover is wearing thin! He's done a good job as spokesman for the NRA and American gun owners for a long time and I support him 100%.

I think we ALL need to remember that News networks (ALL of them) are more interested in how much they can sell advertising space for than they are in the truth or anyone's rights (excluding their own First Amendment rights anyway).

Fox plays to a conservative audience because they saw an opening in the market for a "conservative" news source and moved to fill it. MSNBC does the same thing for rabid Fox haters. All the rest pretend to be neutral, but hold onto their "Liberal" bias... that Liberals deny is there (laughably.)

If you don't like the way a media source handles something, or the stance they profess to believe, the best option is in your remote control. Turn the show/channel off.

There is something they ALL understand... their ratings.
