Well I don't feel so bad for paying $50 for my mag now!

Unfortunately they are selling like crazy for a $100 + on auction sites, it's just crazy what some are willing to pay. I feel like a d/a for paying $50 myself.

$10.00 per hundred for 22LR is the going price in my area for those shops that even have an any 22 to sell. It's not price gouging, it's the new normal. Have you looked at the price of gasoline?

LOL!
Ouch, pain at the pump:eek:

Late last month I purchased a 50 round box of Remington/Eley Target (40g LRN) for 7.99. I had lots of ammo with me, but wanted to try a small box of something new. Almost 16¢ per round. My average price over the past couple years has been just over 6¢ per round.

The 15/22 is a great gun,BUT... You really need at a minimum of 5-6 mags for this guns lifetime, probably more. If I didn't have the mags, I would sell the gun before putting $50-100 into each mag. And 10 cents a round for 22lr???? Are you kidding me? I can reload premium 223's for that...

Exactly right, if everyone would stop buying the prices would come back down.

Then we need the AWB to be voted down and we could move on.

Really?
How the heck are you getting it down to 10 cents each for "premium"???

Hornaday 55gr FMJBT - qty 1000 - $89.99
CCI #450 - qty 5000 - $149.99
Hodgdon H335 - 8lbs - $157.99 (NOT including HazMat surcharge)
Range pickup brass - Free

Price per round: $0.18
And that's not "premium", that's basic plinker rounds.

I'll be surprised if prices ever fall back to the 2012 level. They'll fall back some after it's all over, but we probably haven't reached the peak yet. During Christmas of 2011 I bought lots of Federal M193 for less than $5 a box. The trend will always be upward.. JMO.. Ron

I paid $25 a mag for S&W 25 rds last week at local dealer and thanked him for not gouging the price.

Trust me... I planned ahead a long time ago. You won't see me scrounging for 22lr either.

I got lucky and got 1 mag for 18 but the last 2 I picked up just as the craziness got started I paid 25 each for them. I was pissed at the time but I had a feeling I better get them. I'm glad I did. Now my big concern is finding reasonable priced ammo. I'm going to try a gunshow Saturday and hope somebody has halfway reasonable 22 ammo.

If your local gun show is anything like ours 2 weekends ago, I wouldn't count on anything 'halfway reasonable'. Some vendors were charging 45 - 75 for a 500 round brick, and people were buying like there was no tomorrow.

100 bucks for a mag? I'm sorry but.......

I just bought a 15-22......I'll make due and spend a little extra time reloading my one mag I guess. lol

In reference to the following, that's cheap.

Here's a classified for two factory magazines. Price, $125 each.
