Just scored a new M&P10!

Browsing through some of my favorite online vendors this evening, I stumbled upon a listing for an M&P10 in stock. I wasn't really in the market for a AR pattern rifle in .308; but for the price, I couldn't pass it up.

So, what can you guys tell me about it? Anybody have one of these?

Picked it up last night at Bud's Police Supply for $975 + the credit card surcharge. I couldn't believe it. I'm on hold with them now to make sure the order went through and that it wasn't some kind of glitch.

They're still in stock too... I bought two AR's and that's the limit. I'd buy a dozen if I could.

I ordered one too, but now I'm waiting to hear back from them on my credentials. If they don't approve mine there should be one more in stock. I'll keep y'all posted so of I don't get it someone else can.

Talked to Bud's this morning and everything seems good to go. $1K hole in my credit card and my order shows "processing" with an estimated ship in 7-10 days.

I called my FFL to arrange the transfer once it arrives, and he was quite surprised at the quoted price. Told me his cost from his distributor was some $300 higher.

On another note, does anyone know if these are eligible for the Nation's Finest rebate program? I checked around and found two flyers. One said $100 back on all M&P rifles (M&P15 Sport and 15-22 excluded), but the other one said $100 back on any 5.56 mm rifle.

My credentials still say qualifying. I've been emailing them today since I was at work and couldn't call them. I'm hoping my nuclear security clearance is enough since I'm not a LEO or military. I've gotten LEO discount before with it so hopefully it works for me on this one.

Drag keep your eye on this thread if I don't get mine I'm sure it could be yours. I guess a Rem 700 SPS will be my backup plan.

Thanks, Brad. Gotta head out (it's Valentine's Day after all), but I'll keep tabs on this thread. I'll see if I have time to call Bud's tomorrow since I have to give them copies of my credentials anyway. Regardless, I do hope it works out for you. It's all good either way. Like you, I had plans on getting a Rem 700 in .308 at some point anyway. LOL.

Would love one of these to set up as a SPR. One of my questions is what aftermarket hand guards fit on it?

I'm not sure since mine hasn't arrived yet. But my understanding is that the barrel nut is the DPMS style. That said, the MOE from Magpul should fit, as should the 7.62 Lite Rail 9.0 from Daniel Defense. I'm not sure about any others.

Also I emailed them again today because the charge cleared on my CC but no response yet, I'm just going to have to call these guys. I had to pass on a 50 beowolf upper bc I had the M&P 10 charge already.
