Also in the PRK, your total is comparable to mine.

Initially here in Utah I paid $135. That covered the 4 hour course, photo and fingerprinting. Had to pay another $46 to BCI for processing. Then it's a renewal fee every couple years I think. Not sure of the time period though.

In MA it runs about $500.00 (all costs included) and that doesn't include the purchase of a firearm or ammo.

Part of the plan is to make it too expensive for low income folks to be legal.

Just wait until cities and states begin tacking on local taxes on purchases.

The requirement to join a club drives the costs up.

The license is for 6 years.

Recurring ANNUAL costs are $150. or so per person for a good club

Texas resident application is $140, non-resident $280. Renewal every four years is half those prices.

Initial ten hour training runs $80 to $150, usually toward the high end of that range. Renewals roughly half that price.

Training fees usually cover range fees, but not 50 rounds of ammo for the course.

FWIW, the training is mostly on CC and self-defense law. No tactics or marksmanship.

In SC, the 8 hour course runs $75 to $150. The application fee is another $50. Then, it is a $50 renewal fee every four years.

Ks is $75-$100 for a class. $32.50 to the sheriff for prints, and $100 to the AG. All together around $220

Indiana.

No course.
75 plus 10 for electronic fingerprints for state
50 local

That's a life time permit

$105 in Michigan. The pictures are another $10-25. The classes run from about $125 on up, depending on who teaches them. $250 total for five years.

Can you break down those fees for us? I didn't think the California LTC was that expensive.
