Got a laugh out of this

Sic Em Pam Bondi.
120 days is outrageous, 18 months is criminal. Welcome to the 21st century. It is not like someone has to go searching through papyrus scrolls for info. These extended wait times are just another way for the Nomenklatura to screw with the people.

Don't we know it. I have acquaintances who have got interim secret clearances to work at Nellis in less time.

so sorry i didn't take vacation and sick days into account, now with days off I can clearly see they are over worked. Thanks for pointing that out!

Lake County, Ohio, walk in with a document showing you attended and passed the CCW class, walk out with your permit. Other Counties are different, Summit and Cuyahoga being down right hostile.

It is not uncommon for anti-gun politicians to, by design, pass burdensome regulations without an infrastructure to process them.

you are not alone with this. same in Germany. example: hunting license must be extended as of April 1. otherwise you lose the right to a hunting lease, possession of weapons and ammunition. the authorities request that the extension application be submitted in december so that the extension can take place on April 1. the hunting authority must ask other authorities (especially police authorities) whether there are any known reasons for refusing an extension. in the current case (application was submitted in december), the extension has not yet been granted (not an isolated case) because a police authority responsible for registering and monitoring gun ownership has not yet given any feedback. allegedly too much to do to meet the deadline. the fool is the citizen.

Back in 1970's when I got my CCW, NYC played the "oh- we just ran out of applications so you will have to come back to 1 Police Plaza another day" game. I heard that for 6 months until a lawyer sued them into giving out the permit application.

Then if you used the wrong color ink to fill it out, missed dotting an i or crossing a T, they threw out your application - you had to get another one (about an inch thick) and start all over again. It was also very common for them to "misplace" the properly filled out app. (in triplicate BTW) and once again had to start the process all overall over. If memory serves, I think the app fee was $400 at the time.

Where we live now, a law abiding citizen of the State gets a CCW application approved and delivered in 10 - 12 days at a cost of $45 for 7 years. Renewals are done online in 5 minutes. BTW, we are now a Constitutional carry State, but the physical license does have some advantages such as out of State carry in many other States + more.

The generally accepted number of working days per year for workers is 200 days. This allows for vacations, holidays, sick days and time wasted in stupid meetings. The generally accepted number of hours worked in a year is 2000 hours.
You will note those two numbers do not quite match. The 200 days is usually used for productivity; 2000 hours is commonly used for exposures.
After a 25 year career in occupational safety and heath preceded by 27 years of real work, I would say that either approximation is as close as you are going to get.
