What's the most sensuous music for you?

If by sensuous you mean what brings out the most emotion, this one ALWAYS does.

Celtic Woman-Danny Boy

And the amazing voice of Chloe Agnew:
Ave Maria

The YouTube video of it is blocked in the U.S. but also Celtic Woman singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel.

I have been accused of living under a rock, and don't listen to music all that much, so I have never heard of them. That is some of the awesomest singing I have heard in a while!

I nearly wore out my hi-fi stereo record of "Bolero" when I was a young bachelor in my college years. Dim the lights, pour the wine, and enjoy...

However, for pure listening enjoyment and inspiration, nothing beats Beethoven's Sixth Symphony (the "Pastorale"). I want it played at my funeral as a tribute to life.

Actually, I was using the word sensuous in the terms of affecting the senses rather than the intellect. I see, however, that some of you guys are stuck in one of the more primal aspects of the senses.:D

Bob

The goal is the same...some choose other ways of getting there...:)

"Send in the clowns" by Judy Collins. I also like violin music.

I just went back and listened to Bolero. I'd forgotten just how moving it is.
(Shades of Torvill & Dean..)
I remember when we used to perform it in orchestra (Navy Music) we almost had to put the poor snare drummer in therapy. By the end he would be getting real wild-eyed. (I think he's now in a home somewhere in Colorado.:D:D)

Classical, New Age, Jazz(not fusion), Moody Blues(takes me to a place I really enjoyed) basically what my mood desires/needs to find my comfort zone. My child-bride also enjoys most of it but she can I Pod if necessary.:D

Funny you should post that particular video. My wife and I were on the front row in the Fox that night and are actually in the video when the camera pans the audience.

I saw them at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater,FL back in 2011. I won (2) front row tickets from PBS.They were AWESOME!

No one said gangsta rap?

color me shocked, with all the word rhyming with Glock, and holding women in such high regard...

Since RugerNut already mentioned Sade, I would add Anita
Baker. Just about anything from her, but especially "Sweet
Love". Also, Andrea Boccelli "Con Te Partiro".

Oh Drat!! What was I thinking with" Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC!!! I forgot "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen. That takes care of the sensual. Just aesthetic mind balm has to include the Medieval Gregorian Chants from the Hypcmixolydian Church genre.
