Can't think of a new thread to start..need helpa

How about a thread with a poll, are you a Birkenstock type of person, or an LL Bean type, a collegiate, a leather biker type, or a Weejuns Penny Loafer type....no camera needed, even though they (camera's are cheaper then ammo).

How about topics that shouldn't be in a thread...

mating rituals of the silverback gorilla
broccoli; nature's roto-router
mags or clips; same difference
plaid grips for your pre-war stuff
things your wife hates for you to bring up in public
papal conclave; black smoke means they burnt the roux

discuss!

Sound like a slow day in S&W land. How about how much coffee is to much coffee? Six mugs (12oz.) I start to stutter and get diarrhea of the brain.

Here's something different. Reelfoot Lake Boats.

A reference by another poster gave me the idea to start a thread on my own, but since you are looking for something, I offer it to you.

A Reelfoot Lake boat is an oak and cypress pirogue designed for stump-jumping over submerged tree stumps. Works well in any shallow-water environment, like sloughs and backwaters.

Made by Calhoun Boat Works, in Tiptonville, TN. Double-jointed oars are an option. They allow you to row while facing forward. You could get them with a small motor, 3 to 11 hp. They used to use Briggs; my buddy started off with an 8hp, then after many years cobverted to a 10hp Honda.

There is no transmission or neutral; start the motor and you are puttin'.

Never owned one myself, but a Reelfoot is the only boat I would care to own.

Lets talk about the Cubs, and how sweet it's gonna be when they win the World Series this year.

Or we could talk about pie. I love talking about pie.

Nah, lets talk about Women. I've been married almost 24 years, and have been dating since I was 15, so I know A LOT about Women.
However, I don't understand ANY of it.

Lived in Union City as a boy, about 30 miles from Reelfoot Lake. Great crappie fishing and cottonmouth watching;-)

My silliest picture can't be posted here. I already got in trouble for posting it over on advrider.com. I don't think I'd even post the link here without an advance pass from the gorilla.

It's a picture of my buddy Jeffie celebrating his retirement from IBM. He is jumping an Italian dirt bike over his flaming gray flannel suit. The ramp is a 2x6 laid on a beer keg. He is wearing nothing but his combat boots. It gives new meaning to the expression "tank slapper".
