The last time we did this we were in our mid-50s. Looks like we haven't aged a day.

Then again, it's possible to drown in a river that is two feet deep on average, so maybe descriptive statistics won't tell us much after all.

I've been around here for a few months now and I've kinda been able to get the feel of the place and for the membership. I guessed that The most of the members would fall in the 50 - 59 category. And I was right. I myself fall into the 2nd most popular group the 60 -69 category, and we weren't far behind the #1 group. I've associated on websites with a much younger membership. I believe that the reason that this one is so good is because of the maturity of the bulk of the members. 62 of the 84 members that have voted so far are between 50 and 69. I know that this is but a small sampling of the large membership but I believe that it represents those that are active posters and not so much those that only log on once a month or so to lurk.

As a refugee from some younger sites let me tell you what a pleasure it is to belong to this fine group of adults. Y'all are the best.

I just noticed on "the other" age thread that one member posted and I didn't see anyone acknowledge him. "airman" is a WW II vet!

highjacking alert
Maybe one of you super posters could do a poll to see how many WW II vets are on here. Or not....... just think'n out loud.....sorta

I am 27 and i will be 28 in June 2013 btw my 10th high school reunion is sometime this year i probably won't go.

Again forgive me.....but to what end? What purpose would it serve? The existing tread has antidotes, puns and experiences but the only difference in this one would be the poll, I fail to see the need or relevance.

Loosen your belt, sit down, put up your feet, open a barley pop and relax. We are here to have fun.

If you don't want to play, don't play.

Don't mind in the least and I wrote that as a proud member of that particular group mind you.....
In the scheme of things it's the stories, experiences and the gentle busting of Cojones that makes a tread valuable not a finite number on a poll IMHO....especially one that so much more to offer still.

OK, in that spirit, you're kind of being a wet blanket, thread killer, beating a dead horse... ;)

BTW, I like the poll.

my 50th high school reunion this year....do the math

I first read your post at 1 PM, took awhile for me to get the numbers together, I'll guess you are 68, of course you could have graduated when you were 21 which would make me totally incorrect.:D
