Just saw an article on the Sandyhook shootings where they released the searchg warrant return on the shooter's house. He had a gun safe:eek: with 3-4 guns in it:eek: 1400 rounds of ammunition:eek: and some NRA information
Hey zeus cristo-I have that lmuch loose ammo floating around in various places and that many guns that I have temporarily "lost" that will turn up in the back of a closet somewhere!!!

Apparently "arsenal" is a relative term. I guess the only good is that he didn't use the katanas, or knives would be registered. I never considered my few guns even a collection.

That temporarily lost thing. Friend of mine laid his J frame on top of the magazine rack, in the bathroom. Forgot to pick it up when he finished. Magazines got laid on top of it. He lost it for six months. Wasn't worried. Knew it was in the house - somewhere. Then, while digging through the rack for a particular magazine -- HEY! There's that 60! :D

OK, I guess most of us here have that much stuff and more in our homes. But here's the difference: none of us have used our firearms to commit mass murder of schoolkids.
From what I understand, this shooter was a walking time bomb, obvious to anyone whe had contact with him. I'd bet every teacher, school counselor and MH pro he met knew it but did nothing about it.

Funny a guy in CT had a house fire where 300 guns were removed with no safes and nothing was said after one news report. The news showed a stack of guns on the front lawn.

There was a article stating that a 12 gauge shotgun was in the glove box and two magazines with 70 rounds of 12 gauge in each.

Just checked and the article has been pulled.

Drudge Report

Just found the site showing the warrant saying what the make the shotgun was and two magazines containing 70 rounds of 12 Ga Winchester shot shells.

Is their such a shotgun that takes Magazines hold this many shells.

I have found those 35 round 12gauge magazines hard to come by...but I suspect Caj has a couple in the duck blind:D

When does a owning a few guns become what?? I don't understand..
How many guns does it take to be an;

An Arsenal??

A Collection??

An Armory??

Its like when the news talks gun clips and magazines, again i'm confused.

I wonder if we ever could at least get the lame "reporting" of this despicable criminal act corrected to note that there is no evidence one of the much-hated assault rifles was used at the school? Is it beyond the competence of the authorities and the MSM to take that tiny little corrective step so that they don't appear to be a bunch of plain old willful lying fools?

We've been "shafted" by the official stage management, the manipulation, and the outright lying since the awful day this thing came to pass. Just as bad or worse, the parents of the poor departed little ones have been played like a cheap violin to advance the tune that one gets the impression they seem to be generally clueless about. How this stuff comes to pass among supposedly civilized, intelligent humans is preposterous and infuriating.

Think you just have to take out the plastic spacer to make a 5 rounder a 35.

The people on the "other" side of this issue are really good at using scary words like arsenal. From now on anyone that breaks the law and owns more than one gun and a standard box of 50 rounds will be called an extremist with an arsenal. They even make common rifles used for shooting prairie dogs into "weapons of war". Buckle up folks the fight with the low information voters has just begun.

I read the article on MSN through the MSNBC website. It stated that he shot 155 times. 154 using 223 and the last shot a 10mm. They also found it necessary to mention that there was an NRA certificate found along with an NRA publication on the fundamentals of pistol shooting. They stated that they contacted the NRA but they refused to comment. I wonder if they went through all the reading material in the home and got in touch with each publisher to ask for their comments? I doubt it. Amazing what passes for journalism these days.

In every community, in every state, there are people we're concerned about. They are isolated, seldom interact with neighbors, and people describe them as "weird", or "scary". Virtually all of these folks will never be more than a PITA for society. On rare occasions they "go off", the results are horrific, and everyone says "I'm not surprised". The problem we face is identifying who is that tiny minority before they act. And what to do with them even if we could. Our society is very good at explaining what happened (after an incident), poor a predicting and preventing. So unless we're willing to incarcerate every "weird" or "scary" person this problem will continue.

I saw that he had almost 500 rnds of 22 ammo. I was shocked at such an amount.

And now for the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to say.

This made for nice headlines, HOWEVER, wasn't it his mother who was the owner of all of these. She had legally bought them. She was the one who would go to the shooting range and take little Jr, with her?

The warrant and the stuff seized said it came from the "RESIDENCE". No where did it say it belonged to him. So, "IF" they have a certificate from the NRA...does belonging to NRA mean you can't belong unless you own a gun? NO....my 3 year old grandson could be a member if I send in his name and pay the money....So they find a book on how to shoot a handgun...Does that mean it belongs to Jr. or maybe it belonged to his mother.

SO...Where is the receipt(s) that Jr. bought all of those guns and ammo, that said they belonged to him?

L'll Jr. must have had quite a weekly allowance for him to buy all those guns and ammo!!!!!!!

The story gets rather screwed over by the news media. You know, make some headlines for the country to run off to their congressmen and try and convince them, it doesn't matter that little Jr. types stole the guns, for his illegal use........

Give me a break!!!!! What slanted reporting.....
