What year is your centennial? It looks like a pre 40. It is beautiful.

Thanks, It is a three digit gun, but didn't ship until July of 1953 as per the letter.

Nice Centennial! I especially like that first style flat latch. Somehow they are much more attractive than the second and third style.

Hey, anything shorter than 4" is a snubby. Just ask the 3" Model 66 owners! Anyway here's a pic of most of the serial number.

Anyway here's a pic of most of the serial number.

So . . . what? About 1919 or early 1920? Just after heat treatment of the cylinders started. I'm assuming there are two digits blanked out. There should be no "Made in U.S.A." on the right side of the frame.
