Blls being reintroduced to infringe on the second

I think the danger lies in Bloomberg, his hatred toward 2A must be neutralized from the start, because he has too much $$$, as you all know, money is helpful in spreading out their message. Maybe a boycott of NYPD by S&W is a good start (boycott only last as long as Bloomberg is in office).

I would say this, NRA and members should also fight Bloomberg's attack, can we get some pro-2A tycoon to support our cause?

You are NEVER going to see a Gun Company with publicly held stock boycott ANYTHING.
ALL .... repeat.... ALL........... Smith and Wesson cares about is the bottom line and it's stockholders.

Sure...they may throw around petitions that are easy to sign........ but don't expect a whole lot more.

Hmmm....what will gun manufacturers sell after there is an all out ban on semi-automatic weapons? Their sales will be limited to bolt action rifles, shotguns and revolvers, until those are banned next. Then they will lose all private sales and rely solely on government and law enforcement contracts.

You are exactly right... and isn't that as clear as day?
To anyone with a brain it would be.
I will just never understand a lot of things I guess. Maybe I shoulda gone to college.

It will never pass because of the Mental
Health part. How in the world are you
going to do that? That loser knows this
would never fly, even among Dems.

Do not be overconfidant folks. These people are fanatics,.... Crusaders, Water Walkers and they will not stop,... ever. Write your congressional reps, better yet, call as well. We must do our part to support them as there are plenty of bogus, lefty leaning polls giving gun rights obituaries so don't become complacent.

That's exactly right. They are LOOKING for complacency.
A few bills die and people think "It won't ever happen".......

and they keep telling the mainstream the same lies over and over, and all of a sudden the uninformed are taking the lies as fact, simply out of the fact that they hear them 24/7, don't know any better, and think if it's on the news it MUST be true.

NEVER say never.

We need to weed the garden come next election....they must be pro Constutation then take a look at where they stand on other important issues...anti second amendment is a non-starter.

Keep buying ammo every chance u get if u can afford it. Those that are waiting for prices to come down could very well be waiting an awful long time. Plus look at ammo like you look at gas. You're never going to see the what we use to call "normal" prices because society has already proven they will in fact spend double the price for it.

"Manchin says there was confusion over what was in the bill."....I think we knew EXACTLY what was in the bill Manchin.

"Sen. Joe Manchin on Sunday said he would re-introduce a measure that would require criminal and mental health background checks for gun buyers at shows and online."

So far as I've seen in the mainstream media, this is ALL they are talking about.

Um... last I checked, we ALREADY get background checks at gun shows and when buying online.

Let's face it, this bill is about one thing, and one thing only. The Anti's want a "win" so they can save face. They pushed too hard, they used those poor kids to hold the country hostage and America's response was, "No."

We also have to remember that even if this garbage gets past the Senate, its unlikely to get past the House. But... someone out there needs to be able to say, "Look! I am not a worthless figurehead! I pushed and the Senate caved!"

That said, don't let up the pressure, we've got them off balance, lets grind this nonsense into the dirt so they'll be AFRAID to go near it again.

They need to know that they are wasting their time because the bottom line is...we are not ever going to "Give em Up" peroid. I understand what the second amendment says and don't need their interpertation or even care what they think of it.

It won't end until you know who and the bunch is out of the Whitehouse. Expect the same until 2016 and maybe even past then.
You'll never see confiscation because of recent history of WWII and Europe, but they will legislate them and ammo away in a slow errosive process. That's what socialists do.
The American people are to dumb to understand it, they are too busy being entertained and made lazy by the left wing media.
Brilliant plan when you stop to think about it really.

What they need to understand is I (and most of us) don't care if you have an "R" or a "D" after your name, if you are against any part of the Constitution I will not support you.

Try telling that to Australia and the people over in the UK.
Australia is not America or Europe....many of us will fight before we will roll over. We all hope for a peaceful resolution....but if the goverrnment ever uses violence against us to try and take our constatutional rights...they will be met violence because many of us have fought for this country and we are not about to give up our freedom for any dictator. Hitler would have never made it in America...we are not all sheeple. They will quit long before we ever will...failure is not an option. We all need to start looking at the option to impeach the traitors in our government and get petitions going to start the process and get rid of these Oathbreakers.

It is certainly related. I like to hunt in different states...used to hunt colorado (no more) but traveling by car through NY , mass, and now I guess Colorado...could be a problem, which is why we all need to do what we can to combat bad laws in states other than our own.

The opposition will lie through their teeth.

It'd be a real shame if your name wasn't on this:

Friend --

The gun lobby is pretty happy with itself.

They succeeded in scaring members of Congress into voting against something that 90 percent of Americans -- and 74 percent of NRA members -- support.

They like it the way things are, where the most powerful interest groups in Washington get to override the voices of millions of Americans.

OFA will be the grassroots movement that counteracts that. We're going to show members of Congress that, if you stand up to the special interests, the people in your districts will be right there to get your back.

Our petition to Congress is going to the printers at midnight tonight. It'd be a real shame if it didn't have your name on it, wouldn't it?

We'll never be as deep-pocketed or as well-connected as the gun lobby.

What we have is better. It's the voices of real Americans who are standing up and saying they've seen enough of gun violence tearing apart communities like Newtown and Tucson and Aurora and Chicago.

Together, we're committing to keep fighting for this issue until something is done. We will be heard -- and it's time for our lawmakers in Washington to find their courage to stand up to a political bully.

Add your name to OFA's petition to congressional leaders before midnight to demand that they take action to reduce gun violence:

Let's go.
