8 3/8 model 27

Think about the poor guy on the manufacturing line that has to cut the checkering on the top of the barrel. "Oh Crud! another long tube. I wish people would start buying the 3 1/2 guns."
 
Really like mine, paid just under 600. Fills a hole in my collection, my only long tube, and is one of my favorites to shoot. Go get it.

Very nice looking acquisition!

The 8 3/8" lying around here is a real sweet shooter. It is often my go-to for bear hunting. 325gr. over 19gr. H-110 lets the air out of most anything.

I'm going to assume that is in a caliber other than .357 magnum as a 325 grain bullet would fill up the entire case!
 
That one is a beauty for sure. Don't scratch that pretty thing.:)
 
8 3/3 smiths 44 down to .22

I like the 8/38 guns, all new and with cases and paper and tools.
