Thanks to all who contribute to these "in stock" threads.

I just placed an order with Cabelas for a 3 pack of mags and it showed in stock.

I can pick them up at a local store to save on shipping costs.Works well for me.

Was also on Midway site when notice came e-mail. I had just checked for the mags 30 seconds before the notification came and they were OOS. 3 seconds after notice came, OOS. I searched Midways website for info on notifications. It says when new stock comes in, people who had backorders are taken care of first, then it is offered to the public. I figure they must have been able to backorder awhile back and ate up the available stock. Exact same thing happened with Remington 22LR ammo. I work at a desk all day so I have access to Midway site for 9 hrs straight. I'm not putting too much faith into the notifications.

This is part of the email I received from S&W yesterday...

Orders are distributed on a first in first out bases. Distributors always have orders in with us and they did prior to panic for magazines and guns so their probably went first as they would have had pending orders before the be run on magazines.

Thanks to this thread, I was able to get in on Midway's latest offering, and am happy to have two mags on their way to me. I just picked a M&P 15/22 and that single mag that came with it just wasn't cutting it.

What's with the scarcity of 10 short?? I'm looking for them too ...

My guess is that they have been focusing the manufacturing effort on the 25 round mags. It appears to be working too cause they are readily available again, now that my state has banned them
