1/2 her fans dump her 'cause she urges 'gun safety'

She doesn't need fans like those who left anyway. Sounds like a bunch of ignorant "twits". (You are often judged by the company you keep.)

I suspect that she'll keep a large following from the "Geeks with guns" side of fandom. (We'll not only out-think you, we'll out-shoot you as well. ;) )

She wasn't urging gun control, but gun safety. The followers who bailed on her thought she should be advocating gun control. In other words, she took flak for being on our side.

I gave up on Twitter, but I think I'll give her a like on Facebook.

They all tried to flatter themselves by thinking it matters if they un-twitter her (or whatever the hell they call it).

I wouldn't want to be associated with the likes of them anyway. Good riddance.

The weird thing is a lot of people out there read tweets and Facebook posts but absolutely do not comprehend what they read. I'm sure at least a majority of the time, those who make all the dopey comments haven't even read the article in the first place, just the title, if that. There was a post on Facebook talking about some type of human rights violations in another country altogether and an alarming number of posts read as if the article was talking about the U.S. These bananas didn't even bother to read the dang title.

I think we have a few of those same people on this forum as well. ;)

Celebs are Celebs, they really think their opinion is sometime worth more, do to exposure.....Why do we care???? Guns in this country will be a contorversy from now on....It is not politically expedient to be hard core anti gun at the present time.....We as gun owners need to act with good sense to keep it that way....The anti gun people will be with us forever....Lets not give them a reason to gain stature.JMO

If the goal in life is to see how many twitter followers she can coerse into "liking" her (like so many of the Hollywierd elites), she could always just tweet "that she's seen the error of her ways and how utopic America would be if only the government had guns"!

That would set the "twitosphere" a-blazin' with support for her.

She also state as per Fox News "Sackoff tried to elaborate on her position: "Just to be clear...I NEVER said automatic guns should be legal!""

I wonder if she is one of the ones that knows the difference between semi and full auto. She could be talking about your S&W AR-15 or a M-16 does she know the difference.. Does she want to eliminate full or semi, both are legal to own with proper paperwork.

Either way she wants to eliminate one or both, so looks like she wants part of 2nd amendment rights eliminated.

I really shouldn't be commenting on this as I have now idea what people do on twitter, facebook, or any of the others, maybe someone could enlighten me as to her stand on her knowledge between semi and full auto if she posted it. I only know the half truth posted by the news report which a lot of the time is biased.

Yep. Bunch of ignorant people. You can practice gun safety, but hopelessly dreaming of a ban on all firearms is stupid, not "radical"

Forget the full-/semi-auto thing. There is nothing in the link that indicates she supports the 2nd Amendment in any way shape or form. My guess is that she does not, but she didn't say that. I think she was just trying to be realistic and I cannot imagine how anyone could disagree with her initial statement about the need for gun safety and the obvious tragedy of the incident that got her attention, but our enemies are a strange lot.

It's just more evidence that the anti gun bunch aren't particularly rational people.
They're the same group that hopes they can sell some freedom to buy security...

Sounds like a typical Hollyweird public relations stunt to me. Like they always say, 'the only bad publicity is no publicity." Anything to get their name in the news media and to get people talking about them is considered fair game.
