Ya'll have seen me write about him before. He's been convicted twice. The first time he served two years and out on parole. The second time he got 20 and did ten and then out on parole. He was out for three months then and one of the deputies found his crack pipe while responding to a civil standby. He went back and did three more and got out again last August. I started a rumor that scared him and he left for about three months. He came back about three weeks ago. He was staying in the trailer across the road from me. He thought I was stupid and didn't know what he was doing. I called his parole officer and told him to test him about six weeks ago. He rusted out the pee cup then but they didn't violate his parole because he had to do it three times. It used to be only once and then the prisons filled up. He got a warning.
I've been watching him for the last three weeks. He's been burning trash in the yard to mask the smell of the meth lab. I could still smell it. I've seen the people walking up or getting dropped off at the trailer. I know most of them and what they are. For the last few days the trailer looked like the drive through at McDonalds's. I called the parole officer this morning and told him now is the time. He and a few more showed up at the trailer for a surprise inspection this afternoon. They caught him with several packs of meth in his pocket. The other five people in the trailer were not arrested because they couldn't prove conscious control because of the location of the drugs. They left walking down the road.
I was on my riding lawnmower wearing my M&P 40 rig as they left. I want them to think I'm crazy and they probably do. They finally loaded the methlestor up and took him to jail. I waived at him as they pulled out of his driveway. He's got ten more years on paper. (what's left of his original sentence) One of several things may happen. He may have to finish the ten years plus a new drug charge. He may get two or three years for the violation. They may send him back home. I hope he gets the ten years plus a new charge. He was sentenced in another county originally and the parole officer over there retired from the same department that I first retired from. We talked today and I feel pretty good about what he had to say. I don't think the methlestor thinks I'm stupid any more. My retirement keeps getting interrupted. Bring it on.
