Lost a friend

Should have been a good day.It is my 70th birthday.But funeral for Bill today.
Bill was only 66 6 months from retirement. Forty five years in law enforcement.He ran a drug task force.Bill was a founding member of TNOA (Tennessee narcotics officer association)He was currently president of the TNOA .My daughters gsd that protected her when I was gone working nights came from him .
I never worked on the DTF but I assisted when they needed patrol on scene.
He always had the biggest smile on his face I will miss him.

Sorry to hear about your loss. 45 years in this business is a LONG run, he must have enjoyed it. My best friend from the PD is gone 19 years come August. He was only 50.
