"... i empty the magazine,holstered the gun ..."
"I had to remove the magazine bottom, spring n follower to assure smith & wesson it wasnt loaded ..."
First you said that you removed the magazine and holstered the gun, THEN you say you had to field strip the magazine IN the gun to ensure S&W that it was unloaded ...
Which was it?
Had same problem with CS and my M&P 40. Sent back (9/16/13) in for repair: Extractor not working all the time, shooting low, mag required a hard slap to seat. Anyway sent gun with magazine. Received the gun back today (1014/13) in a box, with a note saying call us if you have any questions. No statement on what was done/found/?? AND NO MAGAZINE, frame pin in front of takedown lever was also way out.. Anyway call CS and waited for an hour on hold, got a rep and explained what happen, gave him the serial number: he looked it up said barrel and extractor replaced. That's it. What about my magazine, well someone checks the guns in and it said no magazine was with the gun, so I'll check with the repair guys. Anything else? Well so much for S&W the best support around. I've had better service with Taurus and Ruger. No more S&W - guess that's why Ruger is taking over. Too bad.
Smith & Wesson always states to NEVER send your firearm in with the magazine. Sometimes they send the gun back with a free one...
Sounds like their CS is overloaded and it shows. S&W should have learned from Taurus.
Where does it state that?Smith & Wesson always states to NEVER send your firearm in with the magazine. Sometimes they send the gun back with a free one...
Well, I guess you could handle it that way, but it just sounds like "sour grapes" to me.Guess in the future I'll not send it with a magazine, but then S&W will blame my magazines.
Where does it state that?
The first time I sent a gun to them they specifically told me to include the magazines purchased with the gun.
I hope they don't take your mags either, but I wouldn't have sent them unless they asked either. Mags are becoming more available. What caliber is your gun?I wasn't given any instructions other then, here's a label, send it in.
I'm having problems with dead trigger/reset issues.
Hopefully they don't gank my magazines seeing they're impossible to find.
-edit-
Anyone know what the average turnaround time is for warranty repair?
I asked when I was on the phone, and the question was ignored.

The average turn around is two weeks; door to door. I've sent a gun to them a couple of times and that was always true for me.
This is actually not a defect according to S&W.I sent mags, because when I first got the gun, I was having feeding issues, and the slide would drop on magazine insertion.
Personally I like it.
If you're talking about the holster in the video, it's an Aker International Flatsider 168A. In my opinion that is one of the most comfortable holsters I've used. However, I have noticed that after a year or more of daily use, they tend to start to lose their stiffness. For an inexpensive holster that you can get quickly they are very good: Aker International, Inc.PS: what holster is that? Looks like a nice piece of southpaw kit.
