I am going 3" wild the last two weeks

This great thread with partially to blame for this run of 3" revolvers I have been on. I agree they are easier aiming at longer range. That short extra length of barrel makes a significant difference.

So far I have:
629 3" Talo NIB inbound from GB win
686+ 3"
586+ 3" PC
64 3"
65-2 3"
640 3" Centennial .38 cal
36-6 3" Target (1 of 165)
10-8 3"
And a nervous seller about ready to part with his 60-? 3" pre-lock. And I also had a 66 3" for $600.00 but asked for clearer pictures. I was back to him in 35 minutes to say I will take it then some one overbid me. Oh well. Still looking.

A few pix

Your 629 is wearing smith finger groove combats with what should have metal washers to be period correct. They look like they have been taken down in order to be smaller

Look like cut down S&W round butt targets grips w/ extra relief to speed loaders........I use to do that all the time ...... before Spegel's and while waiting for Spegel's........after Spegel boot grips they are my favorite grips for guns w/ 3 inch and under barrels.

They are FACTORY original combats that came on the Lew Horton Guns...The last Finger groove has been shaved down to make it a smaller grip...No Question...

Top: S&W 63 eight shot 22LR. Shot it for the first time in Steel Challenge. The trigger pull was so huge that I switched to my 617 for the rest of the match.

Middle: S&W 632 Pro .327 Federal.

I hand load .32 H&R Mag. for shooting fun at the range. When I fire of a few .327 Federal Magnums the gun reminds you that you are shooting a true magnum revolver.

Bottom: Ruger GP 100 Wiley Clapp. A revolver on steroids! The only thing that could possibly break is the transfer bar.

Hi folks,
greetings from Germany, just found this thread and thought you might be interested. 686 CS-3 "Security Special" with the Wischo stamp was the basis for the below. It received a ceramic coating, trigger job, everything was centered and optimised, works like a clockwork now. Bought it for my girlfriend who carries it as back up when hunting driven boars and on good days I´m allowed to play with it on the range, too... :-)

NICE pics....

That TALO 629, I see pics of it every now and again and I'd like to see some pics of it in the hand with someone acting like they were getting ready to shoot it.
The pictures of it just don't make it look as big as what it really is. The pics are deceiving, I think. It's hard to tell that's a 44mag and as BIG as it is.

Can you post a pic of it in your hand when you get the time? If not, that's OK. Just thought I'd ask.
Thanks

Nalajr
