Trigger pull click?

I got my M360J out to dry fire and noticed something. There is a click about have way thru the pull and another one near the end of travel. This is my only revolver so I have nothing to compare it too.

Sounds like your cylinder stop as it disengages and allows the cylinder to rotate.It then reengages your cylinder by locking it into place before the hammer is finally locked into the firing position.This normal and a sign of proper timing for a revolver.

You must have awfully good hearing! I'm so deef I can barely hear the gun go off.

I just listened to my model 60-15. It makes the 2 clicks and has shot very nicely each time it has been to the range. Just normal sounds as Ranger says. I usually pause after the second click to take a final aim before dropping the hammer. That's called staging the trigger. It makes it like a SA shot. Some people say that staging is bad but it sure helps my accuracy.

It also gives you the opportunity to ask, one more time, if you really want to shoot the person on the other end of the barrel. I used to drill into my students that you need to be completely sure before you pull the trigger (but that you may not have much time to do so).

As the other said, that's perfectly normal, if it doesn't make that sound then ya gotta worry.
I try to not stage the trigger and pull smoothly through the double action pull.

Mr. Ridgewalker nailed it. The second click when a properly timed cylinder locks just before the revolver fires is a great way to simulate single action with a double action only revolver like my 642-1.

One of the Range Masters at the Pima Pistol Club first clued me in. To speed the process, he suggested using enough finger on the trigger that you can just touch the thumb on your shooting hand and know when the cylinder is about to lock. Follow with a gentle squeeze to fire.

He is a retired LEO and more of a Colt revolver fan, but he says that technique was worth many points during his qualification shooting. You know, back in the days when just about all peace officers carried revolvers.

It works for me! This target was shot one handed and is easy to duplicate.
