I am lusting for a Smith & Wesson M& P 15/12 but can not decide upon what model?
My three I am eyeing are, leaning towards the two model that list forr $609.00.
Pros? Cons?
What is a good retail price for said M & P's?
A stock A1, non-moe 15-22 should run you about $400. Go with that.
I would get the basic model with threaded barrel... model #811033. That gives you a great platform to start with & can then upgrade components later as you see fit. Some folks start with the MOE versions but I personally would not do that as some of the Magpul parts they use are not the top of the line... such as the stock. Sounds good to have their backup sights, however with time I have dropped my backups & only use red dot with magnifier.
Depends on your budget and how much money you want to spend out on the rifle. I have the original M&P 15-22LR that I modified heavenly and more to come.
My total budget us $1,000.00
Model 811033

That's not a sale..it's overpriced by $120.
Go ahead and spend the extra cost and buy the MOE FDE version since it comes with the Magpul upgrades. And maybe later down the road upgrade the trigger and add a nice red dot sight or EOTech sight.

Another vote here for the regular threaded barrel version. Unless you absolutely have to have the QD sling attachment on the receiver. The Magpul MOE things are nice, better than stock for sure. But... $1000 is a healthy budget for a 15-22. You can do better than the MOE parts, as those are actually the bottom of Magpul's offerings.
Personally, I much prefer the CTR stock to the MOE stock, and even the MOE+ grip is (to me) way better than the MOE grip. If I were you I'd get the Non MOE version and put my own upgrades in, the ones I choose.
Yeah I bought mine brand new for 370 a couple months ago. Threaded barrel version.
