Want to know if the PC IDPA model 5906 4"-5" would be ok for Bianchi Cup production class.
Looked in the rule book and it says no custom shop guns. But these models are approved as production class in other disciplines IDPA,USPSA,Stock Police match.
Wanted to see if anyone had first hand knowledge, Thanks Bob

Sorry, I don't but I can't see how any reasonable sanctioning body would call what comes out of the "Performance Center" a "custom shop" gun but we are dealing with the NRA here...

Keep your fingers crossed that Lipp and Hoyer aren't the ones making the decision Bob.

As of 12-16-2013 the PC 5" 5906 was not approved for USPSA production.I have been checking on this since 2011.They told me trying for approval with the new handgun rules for 02-2014.

Check with Tom Hughes (SP) if it is legal for production at the Cup? They said no in 2012 (PC 5" 5906). Remember these are the people that said if your prouduction revolver had a single action notch ,the trigger would be weighed in single action and must be 2.5 LBS. If you removed the single action notch then the trigger woulded be weighed in double action!!!

Thanks guys, yes I was looking at some old USPSA rules , and comments on another forum from 2008 or 9 or so and they said it was approved but might be re-evaluated because of numbers produced, or something like that.
A friend of mine is going to shoot the Cup in production class and was going to use an M&P , so I offered it to him(HE is a good friend), but I wondered as to the rules because I didnt see anyone shooting one.
I told him I thought it was iffy because of the NRA's catalog item rule, even though it doesnt extend to guns you have built to order and wait a couple years for, in my sport, OH no ,Im not going there again!!!! HA !
I just didnt want him to practice up only to be rejected at the event.
If I was going I would shoot a revolver, but I havent been since 82 or so.
Maybe after I retire.
Yes Tom ,I was reading about that and wondering WELLLL they have pretty strict ROs and you cant shoot in single action anyway, so why would you weigh the guns in single action.
Kinda like the ref's at our Nationals weighing 1911's without depressing the grip safety , couldnt figure out why guys were jumping lines until I was up there.
Wouldnt be so bad but then you get DQ'd because the dovetail on your front sight has been altered from original factory specs, if your stupid enough to admit it.GEEEEEZZZZZEEEE.
Appreciate everyones help. Bob
