Old iron, bent leather, bones & one lucky gun show later...

Your .45 with those stags in those old classic holsters are as cool as it gets. I love patina, or as I refer to it, glorified rust. Your gun is just what catches my eye at gun shows and bottom shelves at gun shops. Here's my Colt 1911 .45. A SAA built that year in a late 50s Arvo Ojala Hollywood fast draw holster I refurbished then built and beat up a belt to match.

This holster is fairly new, but the guns are 1957 and 1920...

I don't know about Lone Wolf carrying like that but here is the real author and the real gun. Charlie Miller was a Border Ranger and carried with the safty tied down because of an injury.
A range officer told him one day that that was dangerous. Charlie told him the danged ol thang wasn't dangerous he didn't need it.
Blessings

GREAT THREAD!!! one of my last two Colts- a series 70 stocked in some old Ivory. Along the way I picked up an extra barrel and bushing. :)

I see a box of the old Western Super Match .45 ammo with the 210 grain SWC bulet.

I used to shoot that when I could find it in the 1960's. I preferred it to the 185 grain load. It wasn't as potent, but it even looked like Jeff Cooper's handloads.

Which model is the Randall knife?

Here's mine. They're nowhere near as pretty as some posted here, but still very servicable. Left to Right: Ruger Security Six, 6 inch barrel, Hogue Monogrips, in El Paso Saddlery Tom threepersons crosssdraw holster. No security strap; they won't make them like that now. S&W 625 Mountain Gun in 45 Colt. Spegel grips, El Paso Saddlery Tom Threepersons holster.

My favorite kind of thread. I have plenty of old leather and bone but no guns old enough to show it off yet (this will be remedied before long).

Thanks to all you guys for shaing your great stuff.
