Why is there no effort to break the "gangbangers"

Every major city in this country is infested with the gangbanger culture, and it continues to grow year by year.
The media is silent, the politicians are silent, they act as if it doesn't exist. They operate and grow unabated in bringing the advancement of their culture into the lives of the citizens of this country every day.
Not only do these gangsters threaten, kill, and control innocents on a daily basis they generate statistics of gun violence that the anti gun lobby uses against law abiding gun owners.

Because we can't violate their civil rights and because they mostly shoot each other. Until the members of the communities directly affected rise up and put a stop to it, it won't get any better.

Let me give you an idea of Chattanooga's "Gang Task Force"

Chattanooga's gang task force recently completed a draft plan to address growing gang problems by outlining ideas for programs involving schools, nonprofits, churches, local businesses and police.

The 16-page draft plan is based on community needs identified in a 173-page assessment released in September.

ANTI-GANG GOALS
Develop and expand programs that strengthen the family structure.

Recruit 100 male mentors for youths.

Add 100 positions for youths in Girls Inc. and the Boys and Girls Club.

Set up intervention teams to reach gang members.

Obtain formal commitments from 10 faith-based organizations to establish at least one outreach program.

Develop job training programs for gang members and ex-offenders and obtain a formal commitment from at least five local businesses to pitch in.

Increase literacy levels.

As mayor-elect Andy Berke gets ready to take office in the coming weeks, he is already making major changes with public safety.

Berke's team announced Friday he is doing away with the Chattanooga gang task force.

My guess is that issuing speeding tickets brings in more revenue than paying people to dream up stuff like this.
Most folks who have influence aren't affected by gang violence... so usually no one who matters really cares to do a much about it other than pay lip service to it. I don't know what they have dreamed up lately.

Anyway, maybe that movie was a lot more prophetic of things to come....Chicago,,,L.A...Atlanta...and many other large cities.

if you talk to any metro police dept. they will all tell you it is because they don't have enough money to support a larger task force to deal with the problem....there was cuts or hiring freezes in almost every police dept. over the last five years...Seattle had a big push against gangs a few years back and it did remove a lot of the gangs from there...problem is they just moved to the suburbs...this is one of the reasons I carry almost all the time now

Part of the problem is that when they are arrested, as they are quite often in my city, no one will testify. Witnesses vanish or recant. They are warned by other gang members that if they testify, their lives and those of their families are in serious danger.

Our gang problem here is nowhere near as severe as it is in some cities, but it's bad enough. Our excellent Metro PD busts the bangers, but getting convictions can be terribly tough and frustrating.

Unfortunately, the gang bangers around here are not just shooting other gang members. The last 3 shootings in Wenatchee resulted in the deaths of several innocent children. During one shooting, it wasn't enough to just shoot the house up. When gunfire stopped, the house was torched. The father arrived home as the gang members drove off. He suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns trying to save his family.

End result: mother and 2 children died; oldest child was 8. The father was able to save his 4 year old son. Autopsy revealed the mother had been hit several times (non-fatal), 1 child shot multiple times (dying from gun shots), and 1 child dying from the fire.

After catching 1 of the gang members involved, it was discovered the wrong house was hit. It was suppose to be the house one block down.

We do have a gang task force and they are very pro active to rid our area of gangs, (in our area we don't have gangs, but down in the city we do).

Unfortunately, gang shootings don't only kill other gang members. And of course as previously implied, anti-gun groups do not distinguish between illegal gun toting morons and legal CC or OC or gun owners protecting themselves from the above mentioned low life, blood sucking, scum, bottom of the barrel, filth that have obtained weapons illegally and use them illegally.

It is situations like this that should promote legal gun ownership and the rights to carry guns legally.

The dolts running the show are more concerned with disarming us law-abiding folks who just might possibly start running amok. The gangsters are a much lesser threat to mankind and a lower political priority.

Doesn't matter much if the task forces exist or not. At this point we are importing them and creating them faster than any number of task forces can deal with them. This problem is growing and it is growing exponentially.

1. Throw out/forget Political Correctness
2. Unchain the Police
3. Be badder than the BGs
4. When Thieves are caught- cut off their hand the first time, the second time-cut off the remaining hand, the third time cut off their head
4. Form a Death Squad to take care of the "Gangs".
5. Take all the Politicians and Lawyers out and hang them.
6. Export all the left wing libels to California.
7. Outlaw the "IL" on all Firearms.

its a hard thing to fix for many reasons.
the powers that be are counting on gangsters to continue the violence.
without this they have nothing worth bantering about at election time.
To sell yourself as the fix ... you always need a problem.
Actually fix the problem .. your purpose spent.
It would be great to see the "hood" rise up and crush the punks.
for every gangbanger ratted out, or eliminated, you can bank of gang retaliation.
This could be overcome by a massive blitzkrig like strike on the part of the hood ... but how to organize something of that magnitude while keeping secrecy till you spring it.
Then the after math ... the scale would be far too large NOT to cause a national guard deployment. You may as well just burn the whole hood at that point.
Police operations won't work ... (sorry badge wearing members) The cops know who many of them are already, and can't really do anything till they have charges they can stick to them ... they have freedom of assembly just as we do otherwise. Just being gang affiliated isn't enough.

We have the ideal venue for fixing it here but nobody wants to go for it.

Step 1) Organize biggest Red Flag ever seen

Step 2) Flush the gangbangers out (any race, creed colour or sex) and herd them up into the Nellis ranges.

Step 3) Declare range "weapons free".

Step 4) Cluster bomb anything that can still crawl after the first hour.

Step 5) Send in the A-10s for gun practice AKA coup de grace.

Step 6) Declare range closed for a week so the Turkey Vultures, Ravens, Coyotes and Badgers can clean up.

Using Chicago as an example...When the citizens are more concerned about the snow plow coming down their street, than they are on the near west side, that says where their priorities are.

Those that are in the burbs, of Cook County....They could care less what happens to the bangers....If a innocent in the near west side gets killed,,,,Well they're just so much collateral damage. They hardly even get mentioned in the paper any more.

I was reading in some national news today, in Omaha, some 5 year old girl got killed yesterday in her home, while she was eating breakfast. By some gang bangers doing a drive by. Whether they were shooting at her house, or just got caught up in it...???

But the news went on to say, they had caught the three involved in the shooting. One had just been released from prison for using a gun, another, a felon in possession of a weapon, the third had a rap sheet, but I can't remember what all it was now...But the point is, the three that were caught, were gang members, and all three had prior weapons charges...

Prison didn't seem to deter the one that had already been there, nor the other two.....

We need more prisons!!!!! (But not in my back yard)

The problem and solution is with me.....Vote no for retaining some of the woosie judges. Vote yes for more prisons. Vote yes for a politician that says what he means and means what he/she says about cleaning up the streets. Vote no for those that don't.

Yes the pen is mighty...Especially when letters to the editors get published, ragging on those that should be doing something about this violence...Those folks don't like seeing their name in the papers like that...Especially with the elections coming up. That's where things can get done.....
