Sights, Ammo, Extra Mags, 2 Point Sling- in that order. Work in some shooting starting somewhere between "Ammo" and "Extra Mags" then buy more ammo. About the ammo- Buy Two, Shoot One

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Welcome to the wonderful world of M&P 10! Are you thinking a lighter tactical build or longer range precision? Well, as much precision you can get from AR platform.... I may have opened a can of worms with that statement. LOL

I'm shooting it this weekend. Can't wait. Now I'm trying to save up for a Troy 308 13" handguard, and a good bipod. I have a Harris but it's the kind that clamps to the barrel by allen bolts.

For now I have a cheap scope (Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50) with Leopold QRW rings and very cheap red dot (truglo) on a 45 degree offset.

Eventually it will have an Eotech EXPS 2.

Kinda both I guess. Nothing more than a couple or three hundred yards. Mostly 100 or less. That's why I have the 45 degree offset for the red dot.

Save the bi-pod for last. You can always shoot off your backpack or jacket. That's what I do. I wouldn't worry about 45 degree offset sights. The money spent on an EOTech & offset sights would be better put towards a good variable. Keep It Simple Slick

Any suggestions? All i have is my nikon. There are so many possibilities! Ha ha

My spending money is pretty much gone after buying the rifle.

That's what I thought on the day I bought mine (which was about a month ago)... My original thoughts were, this will just be a good one to have in the safe for this Z apocalypse everyone is talking about. Then I found this forum and saw some bad a** M&P 10 builds and videos of 500-800yd shots with tight grouping, so I sold a 1911 and transferred those funds in to a build that should support me in some long range shooting!!!

Problem is I have a whimpey gun collection. Can't sell anything else. I have a mossberg 4x4 30-06 that I've considered getting rid of but I won't get much for it. It's only got 30 rounds or so through it.

Well my friend, you are heading in the right direction by adding this rifle to your collection! ENJOY the range! Let us know your thoughts and how she performed.

Congrats and good luck with it.

I got mine back in September. Put an EOTech EXPS 3-0 on it. Dialed it in at 100 yards on my first outing.

I tell all my friends with ar15's "once you go .308 you never look back." LOL

Ha ha how can you go back? It's like someone on here said once... When you're at an event or the range and all the 15s are shooting, then out of all of the tap tap tap there's a BOOM! BOOM! That probably sums it up.
