The no dash modle 60 I have came with combat grips with medallions and I have wondered if they were origional or not. Did S&W ever ship this model with combat grips?
Depending on what year your revolver actually shipped, they could have been ordered as an option. The no dash modle 60 I have came with combat grips with medallions and I have wondered if they were origional or not. Did S&W ever ship this model with combat grips?

You would need to get a factory letter to know for sure.
Now I really want to get the factory letter on this gun
I just carry 5rds in the 6 round speed strip.I use the empty space near the tab to increase your grip and leverage when loading the rounds.Taroman, your Model 60 looks just fine with the magmas and grip adaptor on... it should conceal, carry and handle well just like it is! I had a pair of Mustangs like yours that I used on an old 6" barreled I-frame, and they filled the hand well, maybe a little too well. I always thought there was plenty of wood there to shape the perfect set of small frame combats to complement the ones on my K-frames, but let them get away from me before I got around to doing so... maybe I'll find another set some day.![]()
Who made that 5 round speed strip? I've always figured that would be the ideal way to carry spare rounds for my Baby Chief, but it seems all I can find nowadays is 6 rounders.

Would you really pay $50 to find out factory grips that are on your gun did not come on your gun when it left the factory?
