So I dont know whether I love it or hate it.... definitely brings a "futuristic" look to an old gun. What gun was it?

Looks more like a movie prop than a S&W. Gamer custom?

To heck with the "phasers" set your insides on "BARF". It isn't the muzzle brake or the weight so much as the 2 tone treatment. Heck I shot a Model of 1955 45ACP with a very similar looking S&W muzzle brake back in the day. But at least it was all blued steel not painted. Of course now that I think about it that "paint job" may really hose your competitions concentration.

Spotted it on the cerakote website, FYI. I was looking at their examples. Some real hits there, and some real misses too...

Looks like someone wants to shoot a revolver in competition using rounds that factor as "major" for additional points and wants a lot of weight and a comp to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. I certainly agree with those who think the color is gross. Just not right. Don

It doesn't look like anything anybody would want to use in any of the current gun games, the way the rules are written. An iron sighted "Open" revolver is not competitive in any of the gun games I play. I think this was cobbled together to shout "Hey, look what we can do!" and grab as much attention as possible. That strategy seems to be working.

A 586 or 686 with a bolt-on barrel weight that has what appears to be a factory compensator (from a 627 variant?). Sure is...unique, not my cup of tea, but it looks reversible to factory specs.
