Anyone know where I can find a set of SW-443 Ameriglo Hackathorns (Orange front w/tritium & Plain wide rear) for my Shield?

I know that they are basically discontinued, but I can easily find them for Glocks. Only place I found them was Opticsplanet, but it says 5-7 week wait which to me means they will not be able to get them at all.

Meant to say, easiest way on their website, not in general. There was no image, and they dont have useful filters. Hope I didnt sound like I was trying to be wise guy.

Not at all.

I called that site and another today with both saying 5-7 weeks. Then called Ameriglo and was informed they are waiting for parts which is why the Hacks are presently non-existent.

Have you thought about a hybrid. The front is SW-212-230-OR, .140 wide. Dont know how particular you are on the rear. The Hack is serrated square notch .165, SW-149PR for Shield is flat U notch .164. Optics Planet shows the front?, Tactical shows both? You could even try another brand on the rear.

The rear of the Hackathorn is a key to how well it works. It is a wide square notch and affords instant pick up of that orange front sight. I use them on my glocks and absolutely love them. Tried various other makers and nothing really compares. I would rather wait a couple of weeks instead of mix matching.

No prob. I just dug up some old notes I had when I way trying to figure what to do with my Shield, and thought I'd share.
