Sorry: No S & W with ivory. I tend to use good (or old) wood on my Smiths, Stag on my Rugers and ivory mostly on my Colt's) Hope you don't mind.

My 1901 Colt Bisley in 41 Long Colt. Shipped to Mexico City, gold plated (eyes are rubies) and ended up on the Rez, where it was engraved after gold plating was removed. Engraving is a primitive Indian motif, including masks and jaguars.

44 Magnum flattop OM Blackhawk (Ivory from Boone Trading Co)

1951 Commander in 38 Super. Ivory by Spresser.

No ivory on gun but knife is hippo tusk. Second Generation Walker.

My SASS outfit: Colt SAA (3rd generations), reblued by Bobby Tyler, grips by Boone Trading Co. Knife from Nordic Knives. Watch fob is warthog tusk.

Oh, one more: Second generation Colt in 45 Colt with Tru-Ivory.

Saigon1965, that age-yellowed set is exceptional.

What do the markings on the grip adapter say, by the way? I noticed it appears to be a Tyler T-Grip but has some other maker's stamp on it. Is it F.I.E. Japan? I've not seen too many of those.

Howdy and thank you -db- -

It is an F.I.E. Japan - Model GA-1 -

I can't recall when or where I got it from -

Saigon 1965 you Sir have some fine taste in dressing up handguns.

So do the other Folks in this thread.

Some of my favorite things...............

3rd Model .44 Spl.

Engraved Colt SAA in .44 Specials

I carved the short horn bull on the up-side down SAA

Everything's got a story.........So, here goes on this one.

When I was just a numbin' of a boy my dad had an ol Short Horn bull
that he was right proud of, and some time back in the 90s.
I was going through some of dad's ol things ( my father had passed away in the mid 80s)
and I ran across a picture of that ol bull.

In the winter of '99 I carved those stocks and fitted em to the then 45 year old Colt Single Action.

Just one of those "remember when' kinda things, I guess....

*Jeff Flannery did the engraving on both of the above single actions.
