I posted this on the pre-61 thread but thought it would be useful to post it here as well.

My friend, Tim Mullin, who wrote the books Magnum and The K Frame Revolver, is completing a book on the N frame. He mentioned to me that he would like to have a chapter with known shipping dates and destinations of various N frames. Knowing that many here get factory letters that detail this information, he suggested that anyone who would like to share this information could send him, by email, a copy of the second page of the letter which details this information on their revolver. He will not use your name/address, obviously, and does not want this information.

He can be reached at [email protected], by mail and phone at

I think this is a great opportunity for all of us who are interested in these fine old revolvers to contribute to this work.

It would be very cool is some of our folks guns were in the book! The only one I have a complete history on is my Heavy Duty, which was my dads gun and was originally purchased by the Washington State Patrol. No letter though.....

A10,actually a number of our Forum friends' guns and info are included in his books. He gives full credit and readily acknowledges them. I am looking forward to Mr. Mullin's next book. All my best, Joe.

Good response

I was by Tim Mullin's office today to discuss photos I'm shooting of guns from my collection he's including in the N-frame book. He told me response has been good to this post and he has received many to include but still has a few weeks to include any more about which members would like to give him info.
