Favorite S&W

My model 15. Extremely accurate, and manufactured to a standard that I rarely see in more modern revolvers.

I have a lot of fine smiths and its hard to say what my favorite is. The fact is I dont carry my favorites often as some are fairly rare high condition old ones that I hate to take out and scuff up. I therefore carry mostly a couple of cheaper but still nice models that money wise are lesser but more available. We ride our Rzr on the dusty trails a lot. I am not about to take a $2,000 favorite but do take a old M&P or a old HD I had converted to .44 special as opposed to my 5" 27-2 with my name factory gold engraved or a almost virgin 1950 target.

Like everyone else, this a really tough choice. If I had to, I'd probably keep either my 15-4, 2" or my 67 no dash, 4" (sorry no pic of that one). They both shoot better than I am able, the 67 has a better DA pull, the 15 carries much nicer...

Today its my 66-3 3" one of 300 Lew Horton special. Tonight or tomorrow it might be a different one. (ported, triljon sights etc. performance center whatever that is)

Settling for just ONE S&W is impossible. It would be akin to eating just ONE salted peanut - which would be the acknowledged criterion for a true Spartan.

24-3

I always pack this one when out and about. Got a pancake holster for it should I need to be a little more discrete about going heeled. It'll be the last Smith I part with.

I guess out of what I actually own I would have to say my Governor simply for its versatility.

Ammunition would be easy to find and not so expensive (at least for .45 acp) and it's a hand held shotgun.

A Smith I don't actually own that I would rather have if I could only have one would be a 617 ten shot just because I like target shooting.

So like a previous poster, if I could only keep one of my own guns I would have to say it would be this New Model Single Ten.
