I have a 4" blue 29-2 SN704xxx with the blue gun box, presentation case, tools and papers, all in a cardboard shipping case. Everything as new from S&W except the presentation case lining is crumpling. I know this is a common problem but wonder if I should reline before offering the gun for sale or offer it "as is"?

I'm thinking of going "as is" since collectors know where to go for expert repairs and if I get it relined is not Factory original.

Any advice out there?

Ron

My 2 cents, if it looks like the before image, do.
When Joe is done, it will be the after image.

If the lining isn't as *****'ed as mine, and the fact I can't even see a turn ring on the 29 by the photo.
Ide leave the case alone, and sell as is.
